Country Supper Casserole 2 lbs. ground meat 1 cup chopped onion 1 can sliced Carrots (drained) 1 can green beans (drained) 1 teas. Salt ½ teaspoon pepper 1 lg. can tomato sauce 6 cups Mashed Potatoes (boxed/frozen) Brown meat and onions. Add salt and pepper Drain grease. Place browned meat in foil pan. Spread carrots and green beans over meat. Pour tomato sauce on top. Top with mashed potatoes. Place foil lid on top and freeze. We need to live accordingly. Holy Father’s Visit to Philadelphia Please be aware, that plans for the Holy Father’s Mass in September 2015 are being finalized but not yet set. Saint Margaret School Open House: St. Margaret Catholic Elementary School with programs from 4 year old through 8th grade serves your parish and community. Charismatic Retreat at IHM Spirituality Center January 24-26, 2015, beginning at 6PM on Friday and ending at Noon on Sunday. Retreat Director will be Rev. Augustine Esposito, 1 can cream of chicken soup 2 cans chicken broth 1 cup water 1 lb. chopped frozen broccoli 4 cups diced cooked chicken 6 cups cooked brown rice 6 oz. can sliced mushrooms drained 1/3 cup chopped green chili 1/3 cup chopped bell pepper 2 tsp. salt In a large pan, melt margarine and blend in flour. Add milk, broth, soup and water and cook quickly. Stir this constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles. Then add broccoli, rice, chicken, mushrooms, chili and salt and stir, mixing well. Pour into a casserole pan that has been sprayed with pam. Bake uncovered for about 40 minutes in a 350 degree oven Cool and FREEZE! Lids and Pans are available in our altar server sacristy. Casseroles are due Tuesday, February 10th. More recipes are available on the St. John’s Hospice web-site, or you can also purchase a frozen casserole at the supermarket. St. John’s Hospice is also in need of toiletries for men: Soap, Toothbrushes, Deodorant, Shavers, Lip Balm, Shampoo, Toothpaste, Skin Lotions, Shaving Cream, Plastic Bags.
