Practice makes perfect! The food service specialist is asking for your help. Please take a moment to fill out the online food service survey. The deadline has been extended so that your input can be included. The survey can be accessed on the Waverly School District website by clicking on “Cafeteria”. Food service is using the information to evaluate their services and gather student preferences for future planning. Thank you for your support! The PAWS Group (Parents at Waverly Schools) is planning a Gertrude Hawk candy sale to run from February 2nd - February 23rd. What a great time to purchase your Easter candy and support our schools at the same time! Thank you for your support for this important school fundraiser. Candy will be available for pickup on March 16th in the gymnasium. The next PAWS meeting will take place at 6:30 P.M. on February 11th in Room 204 at Elm Street. Please come join us! ZIMMERMAN*** Elm Street Chorus is up and running in preparation for a busy second semester. Chorus continues to practice on Tuesdays/Thursdays in preparation for our Music in Our Schools Month vocal ensemble program. This will take place on Wednesday, March 18th, in the High School Auditorium and will include our grade four chorus and the fifth grade chorus from Chemung, as well as the middle school choral group. Concert time is 7:00 P.M. Fourth grade students will soon begin to play recorders as part of their melody unit of study in music class. Students will have an option to purchase an instrument of their own, but will not be required to do so. Please remember, also, that Elm Street's own spring music program for grades three and four will be held on Tuesday, May 12th. This will take place in the Elm Street gymnasium. (Please note: There is NO concert on Wednesday, April 29th, as listed on the district calendar.) We will finish out the year with the elementary ensembles program on Wednesday, May 20.
