February 18th is Ash Wednesday, a day of
Fast and Abstinence. Ashes will be
distributed at Masses at 8:00, 10:45 a.m. and
7:00 p.m. and at Prayer Services at 12:15
and 3:30 p.m.

Lenten Activities
Annual Parish Blood Drive
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will take
place every Monday evening starting
February 23rd through March 23rd from 7:00
p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Stations of the Cross, Adoration and
Benediction will be at 7:00 p.m. every
Friday night during Lent, except for March
27th the Sacrament of Confirmation is
scheduled for that evening with the Bishop.
The Holy Week Schedule:
March 30th – Chrism Mass held at St. Phillip
the Apostle Church at 7:00 p.m.
April 2nd – Holy Thursday – Solemn Mass
of the Lord’s Supper at 7:00 p.m.
April 3rd – Good Friday – Solemn Service of
the Passion at 3:00 p.m.
Stations of the Cross at 7:00 p.m.
April 4th – Holy Saturday – Solemn Easter
Vigil of the Resurrection at 8:00 p.m.
Blessing of the food at 12:45 p.m.
There will be no Sacrament of
Reconciliation on Monday, March 30th or
Saturday, April 4th.
The Annual Parish Blood drive has been
confirmed for March 22nd from 8:00 a.m. to
1:00 p.m. in the Church Hall. Community
Blood Services (CBS) has assumed that
responsibility from the Blood Center of New
Jersey (BCNJ). Please look for further
announcements and sign-ups in the coming
weeks. Like last year, donations of paper
products (plates, cups, napkins) bottled
water and juice, syrup, condiments
(salt,pepper,sugar) plastic utensils, and any
packaged foods (donuts, cookies, etc.) will

Pancake Breakfast
Saint Andrew Boy Scout Troop 23 will host
its 43rd Annual “All You Can Eat” Pancake
Breakfast on Sunday, March 1st in the
Church Hall. Tickets will be sold after all
Masses on the weekends of February 14th &
15th and 21st & 22nd and on February 28th are
$5.00 and include pancakes, coffee, juice
and donuts. Tickets will also be available at
the door March 1st. Thank you for your
support.

Beefsteak Dinner
St. Andrew Home and School invites you to
a traditional Beefsteak dinner served by
Nightingales Catering, February 21st at 6:00
p.m. in the Church Hall. Tickets are $35.00
per person. This will be a BYOB event.
Tickets will be sold after all weekend
Masses on February 14th and 15th. For

very nice items for St. Mary’s Hospital to
distribute to appreciative families.
St. Andrew the Apostle School thanks all in
our parish that have been supportive of our
activities during Catholic Schools Week.

our invitation for extended open house dates
from February 17 – 20 from 1:00 – 2:30
p.m. We welcome your tour of the
classrooms and special programs in progress
during those days. An evening open house
will also be held on February 24th from 7:00

Theatre Trip to New York
A trip to see “Honeymoon in Vegas”,
starring Tony Danza (orchestra seats) is
planned for Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
Dinner will be at 5:00 p.m. in the Church
Hall catered by Barilari’s Italian Restaurant
and Pizzeria. The bus will leave promptly at
6:00 p.m. The cost is $130.00 payable to St.
Andrew’s. All tickets are non-refundable.

Knights of Columbus Casino Trip
The Knights of Columbus Regina Mundi
Council 3969 is sponsoring a trip to Sands
Casino in Bethlehem, PA on Sunday,
February 22nd. The bus will leave from St.
Andrew Church back parking lot, at 10:00
a.m. The Casino provides $20.00 in slot
play plus a $5.00 food voucher. Tickets are
$30.00 and photo ID is required. For more

Pre-Cana Program
St. Andrew’s Pre-Cana is offered in a oneday format to those couples preparing for
Christian Marriage. All couples preparing
for the Sacrament of Marriage are required
to participate in a Pre- Cana session. The
next scheduled session is Saturday, April 25,
2015. The session begins at 8:00 a.m. in the
Meeting Room located to the left of the
Church Hall and concludes at 3:00 p.m.
