A Thought for Lent
As you start your own Lenten Journey this week,
remember the selfless sacrifice of Jesus, who gave all. A
family of four can be fed one meal for $3.12. What could
you give up to permit a Catholic Charities donation of
that amount? Could you possibly give enough to feed a
needy family for a month? Please give as generously as
you can to Catholic Charities 2015 Appeal. Our
combined gifts will benefit tens of thousands in Western
New York. Learn more at ccwny.org or 716-218-1400.

Blessed Candles Still Available
Looking Ahead
Lenten Evening Prayer in the Taize Tradition will again
be held here each Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. in our
church. The Taize prayer form is borrowed from a
famous interdenominational monastery in France and
blends, song, scripture and silence. All are welcome to
attend.
Candles blessed for “Candlemas Day” were available
last weekend for devotional use at home. If you still need
a candle, you may come to the rectory for one. The
suggested offering is $6 for a large candle and $1 per
bag of 3 small votive candles.
