Support the FHS and HHS Marching Bands
Did you know that if you attend Colts Games (and a few other Lucas Oil Stadium (LOS) events) you can easily
support FHS/HSEHS Marching Bands?
Stop by the FHS/HSEHS Marching Bands concession stand to say “hey” and show your support by
purchasing concession from us! In a joint effort to help parents/students earn funds for their Marching Bands
student accounts, FHS/HSEHS Marching Bands joined together to staff booth 136 at Lucas Oil Stadium. We
are there all Colts home games and a few other LOS event (MonsterJam, Supercross, NCAA Semifinals, NCAA
Championship).
Every dollar you spend on concession at LOS can help support your FHS/HSEHS Marching Bands
students. For more info on how you can support FHS (http://fishersband.org/boosters) or HSEHS Marching
Bands (http://www.hsehsbands.com) contact the booster clubs for each organization. Hope to see you there!

Fishers Parks & Recreation Summer Camp Registration
At Fishers Parks & Recreation, we strive to make the summer camp process as easy as possible. With
convenient camp locations, affordable pricing and easy registration, parents love our camps as much as
children do. Visit our Summer Camp Brochure to start planning ahead before registration opens on Monday,
March 2.
This summer, we have 31 different camps for children ages three to thirteen years old. Camps offer
opportunities to get active at Fishers parks, get engaged with games and activities and get exploring different
topics with brand new friends. To ensure registration is a seamless process, we have a few tips. Check out the
following suggestions to getting registered with ease:



Visit the Summer Camp Brochure and plan a first, second and third choice. Camps fill quickly, but with
a few options you’ll be able to get registered quickly!
Complete the registration form before registration day – that includes indicating your child’s youth or
adult t-shirt size.
If registering online , create an account and/or verify your log in information before registration day.
Sometimes this process can take a few days, so we recommend obtaining your log in and password as
soon as possible.
Summer Camp registration can be completed online, via the U.S. Mail or in person at the Fishers Parks &
Recreation office, located at 11565 Brooks School Road. If you’re registering in person, please arrive early and
plan to wait in line! We will process registration as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience when
registering at our office.

Academy of Finance Mentor Lunch
The Academy of Finance hosted a ‘Mentor Lunch’ event at the high school on January 28th. Over 25
community business professionals were on hand to share information with HSE junior and senior students.
This event is part of the AOF - Mentor Program that pairs students with industry professionals. In addition to
lunch meetings, students also are given the opportunity to job shadow their mentor for a day. The goal of these

From the Main Campus Library Media Center
Are you having a hard time finding space for everything after the holidays? Or, maybe you’re getting a head
start on your spring cleaning. If you are getting rid of games –board games, video games, even old consoles—
please consider donating them to our Library Media Center. We can always use some additions to add to the
fun on our Game Day afternoons! The next Game Day will be on Friday, Feb. 27th from 3:00-4:00p.m.
Library Club meetings for second semester will be held on the following dates: Feb. 11, Mar. 18, Apr. 22, and
May 20. Library Club meetings are always open to all. Encourage your student to stop by and “check it out.”
Would you like to know what’s popular in Young Adult books? The American Library Association has
recently named its award winners for 2015. The Michael L. Printz Award for excellence in literature written
for young adults went to I’ll Give You the Sun written by Jandy Nelson, and the Alex Awards, ten books
written for adults that have special appeal to young adults, ages 12 through 18, were also announced. For the
lists of winning books, as well as those named as “honors”, visit the ALA Youth Media Awards. Many of the
winning books are available now in our Library Media Center.
Happy reading!
