Flight Attendant Tablet Tips: To ensure your Flight Attendant Tablet is up to date, please leave your Tablet on, charging, and out of airplane mode when not in flight. If you do not see your 4G connecting, either toggle in and out of airplane mode or open and refresh the USA Today app. This will help with your 4G connectivity. If your Tablet is not on the latest My Flight version, please contact the Help Desk to push all pending updates to your device. The Tablet page on the Flight Service website list all revision dates. Tablet bars are also available system wide to assist. Do not wait until you get on the aircraft to verify your eManual is up to date. Please update your Tablet before your trip. If your Tablet is not decrypted please contact the Help Desk at 1-800-343-0343 to decrypt. Decryption removes the need for a second sign in. If after 4 attempts to sign into your Tablet without success, please STOP and contact the Help Desk immediately at 1-800-343-0343 Make sure you have your Tablet with you before you leave the aircraft. Training pay - $75 for each day of recurrent and non-recurrent training International override pay – International override pay of $3.00 per hour will be paid as follows: o International Premium Destination (IPD) – A sequence that has a premium level of service on flights to/from Europe, Asia, and destinations in Deep South America. International override will be paid on all flight segments contained in an IPD sequence. o Non-International Premium Destination (NIPD) – An NIPD sequence does not contain premium level of service flights (i.e. Caribbean, Central/South America, Hawaii and Mexico). On NIPD sequences, you’ll be paid international override for all international (only) segments. Voluntary Waiver of Duty Limitations – On a delayed flight where you might exceed your maximum duty period limits and haven’t heard from Crew Tracking? Be sure you make contact with Crew Tracking and do not assume you’ll automatically be eligible for the premium pay outlined in Sections 11.O.1. and 14.D.1. Both your crew and Crew Tracking must agree to the extended duty period via verbal or electronic communication. If you have any questions regarding the VE waiver please contact Crew Tracking to ensure that the proper coding has been added to your sequence if applicable. Waiving/Reducing Home Base Rest – If you are scheduled to fly an International sequence that contains long range or extended long range flights in a duty period, you are able to voluntarily reduce your home base rest. The entry to waive your rest is HIHBR/SEQ/DATE or HIHBR/SEQ/DATE/D to cancel the waiver. You may also choose to waive via AVRS. This entry may be made before, during or after the trip sequence with the long/extended long range duty. If it is your intent to waive, the best time to do so is before the sequence is flown since you could be removed from the next sequence, if illegal, before you have the opportunity to waive the rest. The waiver only applies to one sequence, so you will have to make the entry for each sequence individually. The HIHBR entry to reduce rest is made for the sequence being completed, not for the next sequence scheduled. So, the sequence number and date used in the entry is for the sequence after which you want to reduce your rest, NOT for the subsequent sequence scheduled. The HIHBR entry may be made for a future trip in the month, but it is always reducing the rest that follows the sequence number entered. In order to trigger for training, the aircraft or service that you desire must appear on your base’s bid sheet. You must be in an active status in order to trigger for training. Training is scheduled on a first come, first served basis. You need to have DO’s on your schedule because you cannot be trip removed during a non-trigger month. No trip removals also include reserve day removals and/or available day removals. You may not trigger for training on reserve months, however if you successfully triggered in a non-reserve month you can attend trigger training during a reserve month. In non-trigger months, you may attend trigger training by relinquishing duty-free periods. Did you know?
