Messages from Mrs Eveleigh….
Dear Parents,
I would like to thank you for your continued support over the
past few days whilst our Ofsted inspector was here. The
children were well behaved and showed Ms Hannon how well
they were working. Thank you also to staff and Governors
for the extra hard work and commitment during this time. I
anticipate the report will arrive for publication just after
Easter and will keep you informed.
The next inspection will be a Church school inspection
(SIAS) which we think could be quite soon!!
It was lovely visiting the woods this morning for the eclipse.
Despite not being easily visible, the temperature lowered
considerably and the birds became a little quieter. Thank you
to Mr Wiggins and his estate manager for the privilege of
walking in his beautiful woods.
Monday sees all Year 5/6 in action at Uffculme in the Tag
Rugby Festival. We wish them well.
Year 3 children from Webber’s and Burlescombe are
representing The Valley Partnership at the Cathedral in
Exeter on Monday. This will be followed by a picnic and
reflective walk to the river, past some of Exeter’s famous
historic places – the house that moved and the city walls.
Burlescombe School are looking for a cleaner to start after
Easter. This position does require a few hours in the
holidays. If you know of anyone who may be interested,
please contact the school office on 01823 672521.
End of term worship – You are invited to join us at our
Easter Service at the Church on Friday 27th March at
9.10am.
Kindest regards,
Deborah Eveleigh

Market Centre, Tiverton. (Youth Drop in centre)
Give or Take
Sustainable Villages are running another Give or Take event, on April 16 th, 17th, 18th, 10am till 3.00pm, at
Tiverton Pannier Market. Past events have been very successful and popular. If you are planning a clear out,
don’t take it to the tip, bring it to our stall, at Tiverton market, on those days. Things that you don’t want may
be exactly what other people are looking for. No clothes. Big items can be advertised on our board.
Likewise, many people have found items that they need, and can take them for FREE. Come and have a look. No
money changes hands. The idea is to stop items going to landfill.
