ABOUT OTC ASIA
The Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia) is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas
and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental
matters.
In 2014, the inaugural OTC Asia attracted 25,100 industry professionals representing 88 countries and 98
nationalities. The event also included an exhibition showcasing the products and services of more than 240
companies.

OFFSHORE TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE ASIA
22 - 25 March 2016 | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
WELCOME FROM PROGRAMME CHAIRMAN AND VICE CHAIRMEN
Dear Colleagues,
It gives us great pleasure to share with you that the Offshore Technology Conference Asia (OTC Asia) will be
held for the second time on 22-25 March 2016 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia.
Following the tremendous success of the inaugural OTC Asia 2014 that attracted a remarkable attendance
of 25,100 industry professionals from 88 countries and 98 nationalities, it is anticipated that OTC Asia 2016,
with exhibition space spanning more than 7,600sqm, will attract more than 30,000 industry professionals.
Asia has long been recognised for delivering excellence in technology, innovation, execution and human
resources to many major international flagship industries such as automotive, electronics and
shipbuilding/offshore platform construction. As Asia continues to develop as a major consumer and
provider of energy, particularly through oil and gas, the theme of the forthcoming OTC Asia 2016
"Excellence in Asia" is timely and appropriate.
This theme will allow our delegates and exhibitors to showcase Asia as a global provider of technology and
a region in which cultural and geographical diversity fosters collaboration and innovation. At the same time,
learning institutions of Asia continue to produce large numbers of highly qualified professionals who are
excited by the opportunities afforded by our industry, and willing and eager to lead it to the next level and
the next era. This is particularly important in today's climate of challenging economics where innovative
solutions are required to continuously drive down costs without compromising quality, health, safety and
environment which the industry rightly demands as standard.
Underlying all this, there is a rich history of execution excellence and resilience within Asia which will prove
to be invaluable assets and characteristics for the emergence of a truly exciting future for the offshore
industry in the region. OTC Asia with its theme of "Excellence in Asia" provides the ideal platform to reflect
on the achievements and aspirations of the region and the industry, and what it takes for Asia to remain
resilient and responsive to a growing energy market.
On behalf of the OTC Asia 2016 Programme Committee, we invite you to submit a paper proposal
highlighting excellence in your recent technical discoveries, innovative technology applications, case
studies or emerging technologies in offshore E&P.
Please submit your paper proposals online at 2016.otcasia.org by 22 May 2015 for an opportunity to
share your achievements with a global audience of oil and gas experts and practitioners.
We look forward to your participation.
Sincerely,
Muhammad Zamri Jusoh
