Isabella Colaianni - University of Arizona

For Immediate Release
Isabella Colaianni
asleep and awake
May 12 - June 4, 2015 | Opening Reception: May 12th, 3-4:30pm
Isabella Colaianni explores the sense of distance from one's own mind and body
during transformation in her first solo exhibition, asleep and awake. The installation
is a reactionary body of work to a time of transition in life. People can often
experience dissociation within themselves during such a period of great change.
Isabella Colaianni studied Interior Design and Interior Architecture at Arizona State
University, which lead her to the visual team at Anthropologie in Tucson, Arizona.
Colaianni became more interested in 3 Dimensional art as she found ways to
incorporate her love for sewing, construction, and design within form as she honed
her skills creating window and in store displays for the company. She is currently
engaged in these practices at the University of Arizona with an anticipated Bachelor
of Fine Arts degree in extended media, spring of 2016.
