Matt Condit
Although Matt Condit grew up in
Hawaii, it’s Australia that he calls
home and where he found his niche
in the real estate industry. While
visiting Australia in 1999, Matt met
Shelley—who is now his wife—
and decided to settle there. With his
previous experience in sales, Matt found that real
estate would be perfect fit for him and got his start at
Granger Clark in 2000. After much success, Matt is
now a partner in the company, along with his brotherin-law and founding partner, Geoff Guelfi.
Serving the Northeast corridor of Perth, Matt
focuses his business on residential properties in
Marangaroo. He’s done quite well there, selling over
$100 million in property and has been named the
number one selling agent in Marangaroo since 2003.
So, to what does Matt credit his success in the real
estate industry? Namely the high level of service,
communication and education he provides to his
clients. “I make sure the client knows exactly what I
know because they’re the ones who have to make the
hard decisions, and what I’ve found is that the more
information they have, the easier it is to make those
decisions,” Matt stated. He provides his clients with
weekly reports throughout the duration of the entire
campaign, with data including the number of calls and
email inquiries from interested parties. Although time
consuming, Matt stresses the importance of keeping
clients informed. “Every report is completely up to
date so they’re aware of what’s going on at all times.”
That is certainly one of the many factors Matt’s
clients keep in mind when going on to refer him,
however, they also remember how he was honest and
open, giving them the right advice even if it didn’t
immediately benefit him. It’s those core ethical values
that have resulted in Matt becoming a leader in the
real estate world. “My clients appreciate our overall
work ethic and know that we are a hardworking
team,” says Matt.
Matt’s greatest payoff in this business is simply
helping clients move on to the next phase of their
life. “We’re working with people who are making
significant decisions and life changes, so to help
them move through the process smoothly is the most
enjoyable part of my job.”
Rewarded by helping not only his clients, but his
community as well, Matt and his team are very
actively involved with the National Breast Cancer
Foundation, donating a portion of every sale to the
organization. He also supports various local sports
clubs such as Aussie Rules Football clubs.
Away from the office, Matt enjoys spending time
with his wife and their two children, as well as
enjoying the outdoors and reading a good book when
he finds the time.
In addition to the Ballajura office, others offices are
located in Ellenbrook Butler and Yanchep. As for
future business plans, Matt and his team will continue
to build market share and help the sales representatives
on their team get more established in order to grow the
business further.
