They have won their last six straight and boast the best record in the NHL over the last 10 contests (9-1-0). Columbus is 10-4-0 in March, tied for the second-most points (9-4-2; 20 pts. in 2008-09) and tied for the most wins (10-2-4; 24 pts. in 2012-13) in club history. The Jackets have set a club record with eight consecutive road wins since Mar. 6 (previous record of six straight wins set Jan. 19-Feb. 18, 2011) to improve to 10-2-1 in their last 13 and 22-15-2 on the road this season. The 22 road wins in a season is the most in franchise history, surpassing the 21 posted in 2013-14 (21-17-3). The Blue Jackets set a franchise record by overcoming a deficit in eight-straight wins over nine games from Mar. 10-27. The previous mark was six wins over a six-game period from Mar. 24-Apr. 3, 2006. The Jackets posted back-to-back hat tricks for the first time in franchise history after Scott Hartnell (Mar. 24 vs. Anaheim) and Cam Atkinson (Mar. 27 at Chicago) recorded the 24th and 25th hat tricks in club history last week. Columbus has three 25-goal scorers (Nick Foligno, Ryan Johansen & Hartnell) for the first time in club history and has four 20goal scorers (Foligno, Johansen, Hartnell & Atkinson) for the third time (2002-03 and 2009-10). The Jackets enter the week ranked fifth in the NHL on the power play at 22.1 percent (50-of-226) and has converted 9-of-24 opportunities (37.5 percent) over the past 10 games. The club record is 19.3 percent (54-of-280) set in 2013-14. The Blue Jackets are 11-4 in games decided in overtime, including a 7-2 mark in shootouts. The club has gone 45-38 in overtime games since the 2010-11 season and is 12-4 in shootouts over the past two campaigns. Columbus completed its 2014-15 Western Conference schedule by winning their final seven games to finish 12-5-0 in their last 17 games and 16-12-0 against the West overall this season. The Blue Jackets have racked up a franchise record and NHL-leading 482 man games lost to injury through 75 games, surpassing the 411 man games lost in 2011-12. They are on pace to finish the season with 527. PLAYER NOTES RW Cam Atkinson was named the NHL’s Second Star of the Week for the week ending Mar. 29. He collected four goals and three assists for seven points with nine shots on goal and a +6 plus/minus rating in three games to help the Blue Jackets go 30-0. On Mar. 24, he collected two assists in a 5-3 win over Anaheim. Three nights later, he collected his second career hat trick, fired off six shots and was +3 in a 5-2 win at Chicago. He capped the week with a goal and an assist and was +2 in a 4-2 win at St. Louis on Mar. 28. He has tallied 20-17-37 in 71 games, registering the second consecutive 20-goal season of his NHL career. LW Scott Hartnell, who leads the NHL in goals and is eighth-T in points during the month of March with 11-4-15 in 14 games, has posted the most goals in club history in the month (Rick Nash; 10 goals in 2008-09). G Sergei Bobrovsky, who has recorded 30 or more saves in six of his last eight games, is 9-1-0 with a 2.35 goals-against average and .930 save percentage in his last 10 starts. D Fedor Tyutin (38-144-182) moved into fourth place on the Blue Jackets’ all-time points list, breaking a tie with Nikolai Zherdev (76-105-181) with an assist on Mar. 28 at St. Louis. C Ryan Johansen, who is riding a seven-game point streak (3-6-9), is 17th-T in the NHL in goals and points with 25-41-66 in 75 contests and has posted two of his 14 multi-point games in the last three contests. Rookie RW Marko Dano has tallied 6-8-14 in his last 17 games. C Artem Anisimov has recorded 2-6-8 in his last 10 games, including points in four-straight from Mar. 19-27 (1-3-4).
