With 48 workshops, this is their busiest programme yet. Claire Crompton has added a selection of exciting new subjects such as Extreme Texture Knitting and Sweater Refashioning to her perennial favourites such as Professional Finishing and Essential Techniques for Novice Knitters. Anniken Allis also has some new, interesting topics – such as Norwegian Selbu Mittens and Fairisle & Steeking. Due to the lengthy nature of the process used to make the thread, linen is a relatively expensive product, which was reserved for royalty and the very wealthy in years gone by. Linen has many qualities which make it an ideal choice for summer clothing, including its lightweight, cool characteristics, which enable an airy handle even in hot weather.
