California LCC Seeks Proposals for Ecosystem Process Projects
The California LCC is looking to fund one
to three ecosystem process projects
that increase understanding of the
impacts of changing hydrologic
regimes and processes on species,
habitats, and ecosystems. The purpose of these projects are to lead
to development of ClimateSmart
Conservation actions by natural resource
managers. Proposals must be submitted
by a team of manager and scientists.
Proposals are due April 15, 2015 at 5:00 PM PDT. An information webinar will be held on March 25, 2015.

The Central Valley Landscape
Conservation Project (CVLCP) is a
partnership of natural resource
managers and scientists working to
identify ClimateSmart Conservation
actions that will maximize the adaptive
capacity of priority species, habitats,
and ecosystems to support an
ecologically connected Central Valley
landscape. Find out the latest activities of the
project teams:
Scenario Planning Workshop
Last week, the partnership developed a common understanding
of a range of future conditions in the Central Valley as a basis
for identifying priority natural resources and adaptation
strategies and actions. Look for workshop results available on
the website soon!
Priority Natural Resources The project partnership will meet in
late spring to identify priority natural resources for development
of adaptation strategies and actions in the Central Valley.
Partnership Growth Over 80 individuals and 20 conservation
organizations and state and federal agencies have come
together to form project teams that will guide the project
progress. Click here to see who is participating. Learn About Related Central Valley Work A recording is available of the recent webinar "Impacts of
Climate Change on Waterbirds of the Central Valley" by Joe
Fleskes and Elliott Matchett at USGS.

April Landscape Conservation Workshop Has Moved
New time and location
Week of October 26th
Hyatt Regency, Sacramento
Due to an exciting opportunity to join efforts with other partners, the
CA LCC is restructuring the previously announced April Landscape
Conservation Workshop. We will be partnering with the Southwest
Climate Science Center and the USDA Southwest Climate Hub to
organize a "Climate Summit" in Sacramento during late October. The Climate Summit will seek to bring scientists and managers
together to increase collaboration and share lessons learned on
ClimateSmart Conservation in California and the southwest region.
Stay tuned to the CA LCC News for updates and opportunities on this
event!
