Beginner Quilts
Our beginner quilt classes teach you cutting, basic
piecing, and how to finish your quilts. Instructions
for layering, basting, quilting, and binding are
covered in the last of the three sessions.
Baby City Blocks

Want to learn the basics of quilting? Then this is
the class for you! In this condensed version of
our beginner workshop you will learn all you
need to get you started while stitching up this
easy quilt top. Kits available in baby or larger
scaled lap sizes.

Resist Dyeing

Are you fascinated by the movement of colour
captured on fabric? Do you love Batiks? This
workshop has been arranged to teach safe/waxfree methods of creating stunning fabric. Come
and learn how everyday items can produce
beautiful designs, while dyeing fabric.

tote is a great way to learn basic
bag techniques including making
pleats, lining, top-stitching, and

Workshop Registration Policy
Payment is due upon registration. Full refund up to 30 days before class. Refund after 30 days only if space can be filled. No refund if
cancelled within 48 hours. New quilters are asked to take one of the beginner workshops first, before advancing on to other classes. A
machine is available for a $5.00 rental fee per hour. The store will open 15 minutes prior to classes that take place outside of regular hours.
While we don’t insist that you purchase your fabric and supplies at Greenwood Quiltery, we do appreciate your support so that we can
continue to provide you with quality teachers and an extensive range of workshops. For the comfort of all participants, we have now
implemented a fragrance free policy for all workshops.

piecing (often referred to simply as paper piecing), how it differs from traditional block
construction and why so many quilters are crazy about it!

Beyond Stippling I
Are you in a stippling rut? Expand your repertoire of beautiful free-motion stitches! Designed for machine
quilters who are familiar with free-motion quilting, but need creative ideas to venture beyond stippling.
Learn at least 20 free motion designs including various meanderings, swirls, nested designs, leaves, and
flowers. Experiment with cotton, rayon, and metallic threads. No need to mark your quilt top, and nothing
to wash off after!
