This meets DHS/licensing requirements for CPR/First Aid training. Certification cards issued in class. Ab. Child And Restraint System - CARS Presented by Tracy Brown (Start time: 8:00 a.m.) Prior to transporting children, you must complete a 3-hour training on the proper use of child restraint systems provided by instructors certified and approved and be repeated every 5 years. This curriculum meets DHS/licensing requirements. Ac. Children’s Development: What to Expect When to be Concerned Presented by Lisa Thompson (Start time: 9:00 a.m.) This course examines typical developmental milestones for children and how to recognize atypical red flags. Resources and strategies for talking to parents when concerns arise will be provided. This course meets the annual DHS/licensing requirement for Child Development. Ad. YOU-the provider. But on your own contacting county officials, DHS and legislators too often goes unheeded. If providers join together as a group, WE can and will be more effective. As a group, CCPT Local 3400, can be very effective but add the backing of AFSCME Council 5 and our numbers become tens of thousands. Being a union member has many perks, but one of the most important reasons to become a member is the uniting of child care providers from all walks of life and places, pulling together to fight for the rights and recognition we deserve. ● ● **All Training MNCPD Approved** ● 4
