That’s why courage is one of the Holy Spirit’s pre-eminent gifts. We are not allowed to retreat from the world but are sent out to enter into conversation with it, and hear in this dialogue the symphony God is composing here and now between the treble of our daily life over the continuing bass line of Christ’s life, death and resurrection. Fr Richard Leonard SJ. Prayer Spirit of Christ, stir me; Spirit of Christ, move me; Spirit of Christ, fill me; Spirit of Christ, seal me. Consecrate in me Your Heart and Will, O Heavenly Father. Create in me a fountain of virtues. Seal my soul as Your own, that Your reflection in me may be a light for all to see. Venerable Nano Nagle…..Pray for Us Blessed Edmund Rice……Pray for Us Live Jesus in our Hearts ….Forever Amen. Staffing At the end of this week we have a swap over of the Acting Assistant Principal- Director Teaching and Learning position. Mr Andrew Fouracre ends his fifteen week stint and next week Mrs Sharon Hibbert steps in. I’d like to thank on behalf of the whole Hennessy community Mr Fouracre for the fine work he has done so far this year upon the departure of Mrs Holding at the end of 2014. He stepped into that role with short notice and has supported the staff and students admirably. The permanent Assistant Principal position will be advertised by Catholic Education in Term 3. I’d also like to thank Mrs Rita O’Connor for coming off leave to assist in her role as Dean of Professional Processes on a part time basis. Her help has been invaluable, in particular providing me with invaluable advice about ‘how things are done around here’ as well as doing many things to help keep the college organised and functional. As a new Principal it was extremely helpful. She resumes her leave as of Monday and Mr Fouracre will take over the Acting Dean of Professional Processes position again for the remainder of the year. With Mrs Hibbert’s temporary promotion Mr Mark Schmidt has been appointed to the Acting Year 10 Coordinator position which he will hold until the end of Term 3. I’d like to thank him for taking on this position and given his experience I am sure Year 10 will be in good hands. With the retirement of Mrs Viv Pavert from the college at the end of Term 1, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Dean Faught as teacher/librarian. We look forward to an exciting future ahead as we reconceive the library to meet the emerging needs of modern learners. On behalf of the Hennessy Community I would like to pay tribute to the ten years of service by Mrs Pavert and wish her well on her retirement.
