World Day of Prayer For
Vocations
The initial target for 40 DAYS FOR
LIFE is the Robbinsdale Planned
Parenthood across the street from
Pro-Life Action Ministries' Chapel
of the Innocents. However with
the current weather and the
distance it might be better for St.
Paul area residents to do their
praying at the Mega Planned
Parenthood at 671 Vandalia
St. (just north of University Avenue-not far from the former
Amtrak Station-Pierce Butler to Transfer Rd. to University and
turn right). Everyone doing praying during the current 40 Days
For Life is asked to pray at the Mega Planned Parenthood
Monday, March 23 --Sunday March 29.

Chaplains Comments
Father Ken Ludescher
Chaplain of Nazareth Council #4021
LENT: Try to keep your good Lenten resolutions! Lent is a special grace filled time for spiritual growth in our lives! It is a
time for extra prayers, works of charity, penance, a time to renew our baptismal covenant, our baptismal promises to turn
away from sin and turn more completely to Jesus! It is a time for on-going conversion to live the gospel message of Jesus
as taught to us through our Catholic Church. Conversion to Jesus is a day by day process. We do not become saints quickly.
We have to work hard year after year. With God's grace, we will achieve our goal of eternal life with Jesus in heaven!
ST.PATRICK AND ST. JOSEPEH: During March, the Catholic Church celebrates the memorials of two important saints of the
Church, St. Patrick on March 17, and St. Joseph on March 19. St. Patrick, is the patron saint of Ireland and the Irish people
all over the world! Ireland has given the worldwide Catholic Church many priests, religious sisters and brothers along with
many faithful lay leaders in the world. As affluence came to Ireland, and religious values declined in Europe and the
America, the religious vocations declined greatly! Many secular leaders in Ireland are now hostile to the Catholic Church!
Pray that Ireland, and the rest of the world, will have a religious revival and encourage more religious vocations!
St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus, is the beloved saint for all Catholics and Christians through the world! He is
the patron saint of husbands and fathers, of workers, and of the dying! He was a person of great faith! He worked hard to
provide for and protect the Holy Family! All Christian men should pray to St. Joseph daily for the help to model their lives on
that of St. Joseph!
MIDDLE EAST: Violence, terrorism and wars continue to grow in the Middle East as well as in Northern Africa and cities of
Europe! Christians in the Middle East are being killed or forced to quickly leave the area! If this trend continues, soon there
will be few Christians in the Middle East! Muslim leaders in American must speak out strongly and influence the Muslim
leaders in the Middle East to stop arming, stop recruiting new terrorists, stop persecutions of Christians and begin to fight
the terrorists! They fight among themselves. Remember the war between Iran and Iraq! Its seems that America has to do
most of the fighting and peace keeping! As more counties in the Middle East gain atomic weapons, a massive war could
happen! People who comment that "one religion is as good as another, because we all pray to the same God". They forget
that different religious have very different concepts of what God is like! Countries where there is a Muslim majority, even
when they reject ISIS and other terrorist groups, still make it difficult for Christians to practice their religion in those
countries! We need to pray hard and long for peace to come to the Middle East!
Work on finding strong
Catholic Men to keep our
Council strong in 2015!

From our Grand Knight :
My fellow Knights,
we are now rapidly approaching the Holy season of lent. In the past, it was popular to give up for Lent as a means of
experiencing some form of self improvement. Over time and with sin it became evident that our hope in forgiveness
was not dependent on ourselves, but that it existed outside of ourselves. Became called to stop being spectators and to
be active in seeking and doing God's will. We need to remember Jesus promise to be with us always in God's constancy
in his promise. We must walk with Jesus across the chasm of sin, evil and death, trusting essentially in life's only true
support the will of God.
May God be with each one of us as we experience the challenges of intensifying these relationships to the point of experiencing true Easter joy.
God Bless you, Tom Bieter.
