MENTOR FOCUS
Mutual Respect
What does this mean
to us?
Treat people as you want to
be treated yourself.
Model how you expect
others to behave.
Please and thank you and
opening doors for others and
helping others.
Looking after property and
things...playground
equipment, books, art
materials, clothing, lunch
boxes.
Appropriate use of voice to
allow others to learn and
listen.
Making others feel safe and
comfortable.
Accepting everyone's
differences.
Explore how family members
can show mutual respect at
home.
I was really proud of the students who went to compete at the
Moyne athletics sports on Wednesday. We had twenty-five
students who went on after the house sports day to compete.
Connor Byrne broke one of the records and many others won
ribbons but what really made me proud was the way our students
were encouraging each other no matter what position they were
coming. Well done to Miss Beard for all her hard work to organise
the team.
Don't forget to start organizing your leprechaun ideas. The
leprechaun trail was a highlight for many people coming to Koroit
last year and many of our families entered in a variety of creative
ways. This is a great school holiday activity and a great way to
show your support for the Irish Festival. Entry forms are available
from the school office. For the small entry price of $15 you will be
in the running for a $150 judge’s prize or a $100 people’s choice
award.
It was a small but dedicated band of parents who turned up to the
working bee last Saturday. Jane was vey excited to see her new
garden shed so well organised, the decking looks so much better
and the Eccles building has had a spruce up. Thank you to those
parents who gave up their time to attend, it is really appreciated.
Please keep the Easter raffle donations coming in to the office.
The raffle will be drawn on Friday before school finishes. There
are still raffle books available at the office if you have run out.
School finishes next Friday at 2:30 for the end of term.
Have a lovely
weekend,
Hayley Hoy
