INVEST IN YOUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY
AND GET A TAX DEDUCTION!
With the end of the financial year approaching the
opportunity to invest in our school community through
donations to our Building Fund is closing soon for
2014-15. To those families who have already donated
with the student booklist at the start of the year,
thank you.
Donations to the Building Fund make a big difference
with initiatives helping our buildings that directly
benefits students and teachers.
Interested in donating? All donations are tax
deductable - and the school community directly
benefits. Contact Mrs Smart for details.
PARENT OCCUPATION CODES
School budgets are calculated by a range of formulas.
One formula is based on Parent Occupation.
We need to update our Parent Occupation Groups to
ensure our school receives the budget it is entitled to.
One school recently went through this process and as
a result received an extra $34,000 in funding!

Therefore, it is imperative that we have accurate
Parent Occupation information; it may result in your
school and therefore your child having access to
greater resources for their education.
If we have a substantial number of parents in the ‘A’
category for example, this reduces our funding
dramatically. So we want to ensure our records are
true and that they reflect the correct occupations of
our school’s families. Forms have been distributed
today and are available on the Skoolbag App and Web.
Please complete and return to the school before 18th
June.
HALF YEAR REPORTS AND INTERVIEWS
Half year reports go home next Friday with
parent/teacher interviews on Wednesday 24th June.
The online bookings is live next Wed so please select
your time. If you have concerns please contact Mr
Nelson at school. Some parents are also using the
opportunity to have their interview prior to the day as
they may be away so please contact your class teacher
if you need to arrange a different time. Thankyou

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
MATTERS
MAINTAIN YOUR VEHICLE
Not only are you extending the life of your
vehicle, you are also creating less pollution and
saving petrol. A properly maintained vehicle,
clean air filters, and inflated tyres can greatly
improve your vehicle's performance. And it
might not hurt to clean out the boot - all that
extra weight could be costing you at the pump.
These are some of the actions implemented by
Linfox transport to meet a 50 per cent
reduction target in greenhouse gas
emissions. Energy efficiency gains have
reduced Linfox’s emissions intensity
since 2007 by 43% as of 2013/14.

SCHOOL & COMMUNITY NEWS

Having such a strong community based school we know that many of you would
like to help a family in need. One of our families have a long and tough road
ahead of them. We would like to encourage you all to attend the fundraising
event advertised below as a great way to help raise funds and have a bit of fun
at the same time. We would appreciate, if discussing this with your children,
that you note the sensitivity for the families involved.
A live and silent Auction will be held at the event. If anyone is interested in donating items or
would like further information please contact Carley Chamberlain 0408 584 376 or Narelle
Fellows 0403 936 257, or via the school.

Term 2 Week 9, 11th of June 2015
Come and Have Fun with us!
Hi Families,
Over the past week the children have tried a variety of new things. We made puff paint, that turned out
amazing, a few children have been busy making friendship bracelets and Hama bead creations, we took
advantage of having nice enough weather to be outside and enjoyed playing on the oval.
Holiday Club bookings are now open!! The theme for this term's holiday program is Out of This World!
We are going to see Inside Out and the new Minion movie! Go on an Adventure to Cuboid with Spok!,
join the gang for the Ultimate Galaxy Quest! And journey with us to Imagination Land! Get your rock
socks on and rock out with us! These are just some of the fun filled adventures waiting for you all at
Holiday Club, so why not join us on a fun filled adventure that's sure to be out of this world!
Next term as it is our fund raiser for The Smith Family, I am wanting to make up a recipe book that will be
made available for families and friends to purchase. If you have a favourite recipe that your family enjoys
we would love to include it in our book. You can email me the recipes at
fyanspark@oshccampaustralia.com.au. We will also be having a disco again so stay tuned for the details
on that one!!
We endeavour to ensure that all your child's medical and contact details are kept up to date as possible,
to help us with this task we ask you to come and see us if there is any changes in your or your child's
details. We want to make sure we can contact you if there is an emergency and ensuring that your details
are correct is the best way to do this.
We encourage you all to enrol your child/ren with us in case of emergencies that are beyond your control
and to ensure that we have access to your child’s details if needed. To enrol your child/ren go to
www.campaustralia.com.au.
We have vacancies every morning and afternoon in O.S.H.C. don’t hesitate
child/ren in today!
Cheers & Keep Smiling
