The program is designed to teach children about various disabilities and how children with disabilities cope and adapt. The Everybody Counts program aims to: • Increase understanding of people who are disabled. • Explore different causes of different disabilities as well as the range of different disabilities. • Present and reinforce the concept that all people, including the disabled, have the same social needs and feelings . Students in grades 1 through 5 are competing to be the grade with the highest attendance at the end of the quarter. Students are also working towards individual classroom rewards for attendance. OHHS AND OHYA DRILLS AND SKILLS IMPROVEMENT SESSIONS Drills and Skills for boys and girls at Oak Hills High School in the South (old) gym starts this Monday, May 4th. Drills and Skills is primarily ball handling and footwork improvement drills with no 5 on 5 play. Brad Renken, former high school player and coach, Oak Hills High School coaches and high school players will conduct the hour long sessions. The times are 6-7 pm for next year's grades 3-5. The times are 7-8 pm for next year's grades 6-8. We are including current 8th grade student-athletes in the group as well. Also students are to be picked up from school no later than 3:20 KROGER PLUS CARDS PTA would like to ask that if you have a Kroger card and have signed up for Delshire to receive your community rewards that you please renew it as soon as possible. As of April 1st EVERYONE needs to RE-SIGN up or we will lose the rewards from each individual. It is an easy process to renew and you can follow the link below. IF you have not done it yet, please consider supporting the Delshire PTA or another organization that could use reward points. This DOES NOT take away from any type of rewards that you earn it is just ADDITIONAL rewards for the school. We hope that you will join us this year. In the 2014-15 school years we were able to make over $3,000 by this simple program and we would hate to lose any money by anyone forgetting to sign up again.
