Issue 06
Our Lady of Guadalupe School
In the MSJ Dominican Tradition Inside this issue:
Dear OLG Families,
Pope Francis convened an Extraordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the theme, “The Pastoral Challenges of the Family in the Context of Evangelization” taking place October 5‐19, in Rome. A synod is a council of the Church convened to decide an issue of doctrine, administration or application. We have been invited to pray for this Synod as well as the upcoming 2015 World Meeting of Families in the Philippines. “May we all, then, pray together so that through these events the Church will undertake a true journey of discernment and adopt the necessary pastoral means to help families face their present challenges with the light and strength that comes from the gospel.” (Pope Francis) Here is a prayer from Pope Francis for us to support this tremendously important synod: Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
in you we contemplate the splendor of true love,
to you we turn with trust.

Tuition Dates & Late Fees Reminder
Tuition is due on the 10th of each month. OLG School offers a 10-day grace period before late
fees are incurred (which includes the 10th of the month). Therefore, the last day to remit tuition
without a late fee added is at 9pm on the 19th of the month. Smart Tuition is an East-coast
company that is set up to add late fees at midnight on the 20th, which is 9pm the day prior for
our families.
If you have incurred a late fee when paying on the 20th of the month, please call Smart Tuition.
They may be able to reverse the late fee as a one-time courtesy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Payments Methods for School Account Charges
OLG School prefers to accept checks for payment, however credit cards can be swiped in the
Bookkeeping Office for School Account charges (not Tuition) and receipts will be given for cash
payments. When writing checks, please use only blue or black inked non-gel pens. The
bank scanners cannot read checks written in other colors or pencil or with gel pens (regardless
of color). Please remember to sign and date your checks. It’s also helpful when you write your
oldest/only child’s name and grade in the memo with the reason for the payment.
Thank you!
