The cruise tour will be hosted by Celia Sandys, who accompanied her grandfather, Sir
Winston Churchill, on some of his later travels.
Navigating the waters of Cuba to retrace Sir Winston’s steps from his visits in 1895
and 1946 We will bring a unique experience to those people lucky enough to join us on
this exciting educational trip.
Starting in Havana we will travel to Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Santa Clara, take the train
from Tunas de Zaza to Sancti Spiritus, visit La Reforma and Arroyo Blanco.

Celia Sandys
Celia Sandys has written five books about her grandfather.
They cover various less known aspects of his life including
“From Winston With Love and Kisses”, “The Young Churchill”,
“Churchill Wanted Dead or Alive”, his thrilling adventures
in the Boer War, and “Chasing Churchill - The Travels of
Winston Churchill” which was made into a three part television
documentary which Celia presented and was aired in the US and
the UK. Having travelled with her grandfather, when a teenager, she has for the past ten years been
leading tours in his footsteps to places he liked best.
Hal Klepak
Hal is Professor Emeritus of History and Strategy at the Royal Military College of Canada. He has his
BA Honours International Relations from McGill University and his MA and PhD in History from the
University of London. As a Latin American historian specialising in Cuba Hal has published three books
on the country and is currently writing one on Churchill’s visit in 1895 which is one of the most
important, and least documented period’s of Churchill’s life.
sc Panorama
Discover a three masted sailing cruiser which can accommodate
up to 49 passengers in 25 cabins. The PANORAMA was launched in
1993 and was renovated in 2008.
This ship offers the highest standard of accommodation, comfort
and safety. During the day, life on board centers around the
outdoor areas, the 2 bars and the sun deck.
In the evening you can relax in
one of the ship’s two lounges,
the library, and have a drink
while you listen to the piano.
The swimming platform on PANORAMA’s stern enables you to
swim when weather and anchorage conditions permit.
Panorama’s cabins are located on all three decks and are finished
with wooden furniture and light fabrics.
Cabins on the Upper and Main Decks are equipped with windows
while cabins on the Lower Deck are finished with portholes.
The fully equipped bathrooms are finished with marble. All cabins are air-conditioned and fitted with
TV, telephone, hairdryers, mini-fridge and safes.

Day trip to Santa Clara - visited by WSC in 1895 Capitolio, Plaza de la Revolucion,
with Spanish Forces
Vedado, Malecon, El Morro, Cathedral Plaza, Plaza Vieja, Plaza de Armas Lunch at a traditional restaurant in Santa Clara’s historical centre
with Lunch at Hotel Nacional where WSC stayed in 1946
Return to Cienfuegos
Day 2 Breakfast at hotel
and onwards to Revolution Museum followed Day 7 Cienfuegos
by the Rum Museum.
Enjoy the sites of Cienfuegos
