Expecting Mothers Roses For Life Bouquet is at the feet of the Blessed Mother on
the side altar at Sacred Heart and on the Holy Family altar at St. Joseph. The flowers
represent a mother and the child she is expecting. Parishioners are asked to pray for the
family and the safe arrival of the unborn baby. The rose remains on the altar until
presented to the family at baby’s baptism. If you are expecting a baby, contact Teresa,
232-2863, sjosephtopeka@juno.com, to have a flower added to the bouquet. Teresa
needs your name and due date.
Germanfest Jewelry Booth: Looking for jewelry to ready for the next sale. I work on

you see any jewelry that could be used. Thank you! Marcia Hogan 267-6306.
St. Joseph Adoption Ministry is in need of more prospective parents! They could
place more babies if they had more prospective parents. Average wait time for couples

Video Reflections from the Bishops of Kansas: Prior to elections the Bishops of
Kansas have issued statements to aid Catholic voters in the formation of conscience.
This year the Bishops of Kansas have developed four video reflections on key issues to
which all Catholics should give serious consideration: Protection of Human Life,
Religious Liberty, Marriage and Family, and Impact of Usury on the Poor and
Vulnerable. Videos available on kscathconf.org, and may be downloaded from
Archdiocesan Digital Media Center, resources.archkck.org by clicking on the
“recommended” tab and downloading the video file. If you are not registered on the
Digital Media Center, you may do so free of charge; there will be no cost for the
download.

St. Joseph Adoration Chapel is open to all from 6 am-10 pm daily. Even though the
"official" list of open hours appears each week in the bulletin, don't feel that those are
the only times you can sign up for. It would be awesome if we had the luxury of two or
more adorers for each hour! Then partners could cover for each other as needed without
the added burden of calling around for substitutes. Think about it-Jesus is calling you by
name.

Consecration to Jesus through Mary: One couple’s
experience of the Marian Consecration to Jesus through
Mary, “33 Days to Morning Glory.” “Consecrating oneself
and one’s family may sound like a difficult thing that
requires a great level of already-attained holiness, but the
opposite is true. It is a simple journey for the simplehearted who simply wants to be holy, not for those who
already are holy. If it seems out of reach for you and the
craziness of your busy life, maybe it is exactly what the
doctor ordered, or at least the spiritual doctor. In the
craziness of life in 2014 in the United States, giving
oneself to Mary is the way to go.” Archbishop Naumann
set December 8th for the diocesan-wide consecration to
Jesus through Mary using Fr. Michael Gaitley’s book, “33
Days to Morning Glory.” Contact parish office to obtain a
copy of the book for the November 5th start of
preparation.

effective and versatile ministry leader in the Church.
Those young and young at heart embrace the passionate
message of faith, hope and love woven throughout his
music and storytelling. Always rooted in a spirit of
