Public Notice Historic Bridge Available The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announces the availability of a historic single span Warren pony truss bridge for relocation and preservation in compliance with the U.S. Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties. The bridge is located on County Road (CR) 222 at the Leon River approximately 0.5 mile west of CR 223 in Hamilton County. The bridge was built in 1906. It consists of a Warren Pony Truss on concrete piers. It has an overall width of 11’-9” and a clear roadway width of 11’-9”. The total length of the bridge is 90’. Technical difficulties and substantial costs associated with relocating and reconstructing the bridge should be anticipated. Limited financial assistance is available to help with relocation costs.
