New Years Holiday
In observance of the New Years holiday, the parish offices
will be closed Wednesday December 31, and Thursday,
January 1. The St. Joseph office will re-open on Friday,
January 2. From the staff of St. Joseph and St. Mary, have a
safe and prosperous New Year.
Young Adult Ministry
The regional young adult group will gather for their next faithsharing session on Sunday, January 4, at 7:00 PM in the
Freude Room at St. Margaret Mary Church. Young adults ages
18-35 are welcome to join us! Come and rekindle old friendships or start new ones.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the success of this
fundraiser. Watch the bulletin for the next fundraiser which is
the homemade wedding soup sale!
The Partnered Parishes of
St. Joseph and St. Mary of Czestochowa
High School Youth Conference
Plans are underway for the annual 3-day conference for high
school students at Franciscan University, Steubenville, Ohio,
June 19-21, 2015.
This is the 12th year we will attend the conference. Please
encourage your sons and daughters to attend. It is not only a
great Catholic conference, but it also gives students a taste of
dormitory life. An added bonus: THEY HAVE A GREAT TIME!
The conference is open to all those attending grades 9-12 in
September, 2015, or graduating in June, 2015. Cost is $185 per
person, although cost is greatly defrayed each year by fundraising. Check out the conferences at franciscanyouth.com or call
the Religion Center for more information.

January Food Pantry Help
The St. Joseph Parish food pantry is in need of
extra manpower this week. The truck will need to
be unloaded on Friday, January 2, beginning at
8:30 AM in the MQA parking lot. Packing and distribution begins at 7:30 AM on Saturday, January 3, in the MQA Cafeteria. All help is greatly appreciated.
It’s Tax Time Again
Tax letters for 2014 will be mailed to all parishioners, who
have made contributions to the Church, at the end of January.
If you have any discrepancies, please notify a Finance Council
Member. For your convenience, the members of each Finance
Council are listed below.
To reduce the possibility of error, please use your offertory
envelopes provided by the Church, and pay by check, whenever possible.
Please remember, to be credited for tax year 2014, all contributions must be submitted by December 28, 2014.

Come in from the cold and partake
in an afternoon of readings and carols,
angels and kings, shepherds and a few
of God’s creatures, fellowship and
blessings.
Your help is needed! We would like to fill the roles
now. We are currently seeking anyone to fill the roles of a
king, St. Francis, angels (children 3-18), archangels (ages 1318), Angel Gabriel (male 16 & up), slave women and shepherds (children 3-18 & adults).
Anyone who would like to participate (costumes are provided)
is asked to attend the rehearsals being held:

Knights of Columbus Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest
 The theme is “The Importance of Religious Freedom”.
 Open to all Catholic students in public, private or parochial
schools in grades 8-12.
 Must be typed and be between 500 and 750 words in
length.
 Student’s name should only appear on official contest entry form, which can be obtained at the parish offices, and
be stapled to the essay.
 All contestants are recognized for participation. Winners in
each age group will receive a cash award and advance to
international competition.
 Entries must be received or postmarked by January 31,

World Meeting of Families Pilgrimages
Pope Francis has formally announced his intention to attend
the World Meeting of Families - Philadelphia 2015. Families
from across the Diocese of Greensburg are invited to journey
to the 2015 World Meeting of Families.
Two package options for the pilgrimages will be offered. The
first is a weeklong pilgrimage that will include the World Meeting of Families Conference and Papal events from September
21-28. The second is a weekend pilgrimage that includes only
Papal events from September 25-28.

pilgrimage is Saturday, January 10; the weekend pilgrimage is
Sunday, February 15.
