That those from diverse religious traditions and all people of good will may work together for peace. Christian believers and their pastors from numerous denominations along with many pro-life leaders, will gather for the 21st Annual National Memorial for the Pre-Born and their Mothers and Fathers at DAR Constitution Hall, 1776 D. St., NW (18th & D St.), Washington D.C., from 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. This will be the premier prayer event marking the tragic commemoration of Roe v. Wade. We will gather in repentance and grief, but also in hope filled, joyful determination and unity, to bring an end to abortion once and for all! For those who wish, there will be a Catholic Mass at 7:30 a.m. Doors open at 7:00 a.m. Admission is free, no tickets are required, and large groups are welcome. Let’s fill Constitution Hall with thousands of believers to show the nation that pro-life people are not going away, no matter how long the battle or how powerful the enemy! The prayers and message of this service will certainly convey that, and you wont want to miss out on the inspiration. For more information, go to NationalPrayerService.com January 2015 Evangelization: Consecrated Life. That in this year dedicated to consecrated life, religious men and women may rediscover the joy of following Christ and strive to serve the poor with zeal. Week of Prayer for Christian Unity January 18 - 25 Pray that all Christians may work together and respect each other’s efforts to bring the message of Christ to our world. Please also reach out, in love, to other Christians whom you have contact with. World Meeting of Families This gathering will take place this coming September with Pope Francis presiding. We all look forward to celebrating with him The Joy of Christ...The Family’s Hope. All of us as individuals and as families have the opportunity to prepare for this event. First we need to get to know Jesus better. How about reading the Gospels and speaking to Him in prayer. Secondly, we need to experience His love more deeply. How about reflecting on all He has done for us. After we do these two things, we have a lot to share with others about Jesus! Novena in Reparation for Roe v. Wade January 14 - 22 The Catholic bishops of the U.S. have designated January 22 as a special day of prayer and penance in reparation for the massive killing that has resulted from the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision (handed down January 22, 1973) which permitted abortion throughout pregnancy. Therefore, we at “Priests for Life” invite you to prepare spiritually for that day by joining us in praying the following prayer of reparation: God and Father of Life, You have created every human person, and have opened the way for each to have eternal life. We live in the shadow of death. Tens of millions of your children have been killed because of the Roe vs. Wade decision legalizing abortion. Father, have mercy on us. Heal our land, and accept our offering of prayer and penance. In your love for us, turn back the scourge of abortion. May each of us exult in hearts full of hope and hands full of mercy and work together to build a culture of life. We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
