I would ask that all members try to make the ORGMA meetings, we will post the next one,( time and place on the trestle board) it would be good to carpool if we get enough brothers. I would like to schedule some visits to other lodges, if anyone would like to go to a specific Lodge please let me know. The Town of Ramapo has decided to sell the property in Hillburn where we have held the shoot in the past. Unless we find a new location soon, we may have to shelve the idea for 2015. If there are any suggestions for a new location, please let me or the fundraising committee know as soon as possible. Thank you. It is with a heavy heart that I mourn the loss of my friend and Brother, Bob Morlang Sr. My sadness is brightened just a bit, knowing that he was at one of his favorite places on earth when we lost him, his hunting lodge. He will forever be in my thoughts and memories of Masonry and life. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. At our recent DD visit, the AGLs noted that our lodge has a reputation for our excellent ritual work. I congratulate every one of you for your efforts and dedication to the Craft. We all work hard to obtain perfection, and even though we may never get there, it is commendable that we continue to strive for that goal. As also noted, we are one of the very few lodges that execute all three degrees with our own members. This is a testament to our commitment to the Craft, and as the line progresses; I hope we can continue that tradition. So to close 2014, I would like to wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season, and I hope that Santa Clause delivers something special to all! FROM THE SOUTH My Brothers, I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. My holiday was great I got to spend a lot of quality time with my family and friends. It is with a heavy heart that I mourn the loss of my friend and Brother, Bob Morlang Sr. Brother Bob was a great man. I am so glad I had the pleasure of knowing him. I will certainly miss seeing him and his wife at Hogan’s diner on friday night, which he claims has the best crab cakes. I would like to wish everyone a happy new year and I can’t wait to see you all soon. TIDINGS Why? A brother who does not vote is discourteous because he skews the ballot. He becomes the weak link in a strong chain. No matter what the reason of his non-vote, he injures the lodge’s ballot, its value and its secrecy. Failure to vote can injure a lodge’s feeling of brotherhood, and by that injury, can injure the Masonic fraternity. No matter what reason you may privately hold about voting, it is poor Masonic Etiquette to fail to vote when requested to do so by the Master. ANNOUNCE MENTS Brotherhood Fund: The 2014-2015 campaign has started, please remember every little bit helps.
