Position Title:
Human Resource Supervisor
Reports To:
Human Resource Manager.
Purpose:
To provide proactive, customer-focused HR generalist service/IR solutions to support
the delivery of the business goals. To contribute, as part of the HR Management
Team, to the development and implementation of the overall HR Strategy.
Accountabilities:
 Provide advice, interpretation and guidance to line managers on HR policies,
procedures and practices to ensure consistency, equity and fairness in dealing
with employees.
 Supports the Human Resource Manager in carrying out role profiling, job
evaluation and grading exercises to ensure internal and external equity.
 To facilitate change programs throughout the business with a view to
developing the right people.
 Assist with employee’s development, need assessment and trainings.
 Manages processes and resources established to hire and retain top talents
required to support the growth and development of the business.
 Builds effective working relationships with Unions and plays key role in
negotiations with them on their remuneration and working conditions on winwin settlement basis in order to create the needed harmonious working
environment
 Administers an employee welfare services in timely, cost-effective and
qualitative manner – canteen, medical scheme, staff bussing, funerals,
weddings, sick visiting, scholarship etc. in order to keep the level of motivation
and satisfaction high amongst employees.
 Manages the HR and reports on employee data and other HR-related activities
that support business decision-making.
 Delivers communication and other support systems to ensure that all employees
are fully engaged in the business.
 Supports change initiatives and helps implement changes to improve business
performance

Requirements
 Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Social Science, professional
qualification in HR practices an advantage
 2-3 years HR generalist experience gained ideally in a manufacturing, multisite and unionized environment.
OTHER QUALITIES/REQUIREMENTS







Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and any other HR- related Software
Strong communication skills- Interpersonal, Communication and Written.
Ability to handle multiple task and work under pressure with changing priorities
Must maintain confidentiality
Must work unsupervised (i.e. should have initiative)
Excellent Communication Skills in English
Team Player
High ethical standard
