Not Without Love
The soul cannot live without love.
— St. Francis de Sales
“The family is the greatest treasure of
any country. Let us all work to protect
and strengthen this, the cornerstone of
society. Lord, help us to recognize you in
the sick, poor and suffering.”
“The compassion of God, his suffering
with us, gives meaning and worth to our
struggles and our sufferings. We who
are Christians, members of God’s family,
are called to go out to the needy and to
serve them.”
“How often we forget to dedicate ourselves to that which truly matters! We
forget that we are children of God.”
“Practicing charity is the best way to
evangelize.”

nurtures us, and it is our faith that sustains us.
Where will God lead us? Let us continue to grow in faith, to
challenge one another to walk the walk, let us also build one
another up in faith by encouraging one another so that we

Discernment Retreat for Young Women
February 13-15 (Friday 6 PM - Sunday 1 PM)
at Villa Maria House of Studies: Young
women (18-35) are invited to join us for this
retreat which focuses on the IHM Charism
and the importance of listening to God's call
and discovering the many ways that God
speaks to us. Time will be included for personal and communal prayer as well as the opportunity to interact with the sisters in Formation. For more information, call 610-8891553 or ihmvoc@aol.com.
From the Adoration Chapel
Perpetual Adoration at St. Agnes is already
bringing unexpected blessings to our parishioners. “At first I thought it was a time when I
have Jesus to myself,” commented one adorer.
“But now I believe it’s when He has me to
Himself. Thank you, Jesus.” Come and see for
yourself just how healing and peaceful this
hour can be! Call or text Sue at 215-983-9701
to sign up for day and hour of your choice.

Four Stages of Prayer Course
Is your prayer life in a rut? Are you
longing to connect with God in prayer?
The season of Lent is the perfect time for
a revival! Susan Brinkmann, OCDS and
the Catholic Life Institute is offering a 5week course on the four stages of prayer
based on the teaching of St. Teresa of
Avila. Classes include instruction (and
practice!) in mental prayer, meditation,
contemplation, and more. Discover the
Catholic contemplative tradition in all its
glory! Classes will be held on Thursday
evenings in the parish hall from 7:00 8:30 pm from February 26 to March 26.
Cost for the 5-week course is $35 per
person. Visit www.freeandfaithful.com
to register or call/text Sue at 215-9839701.
Candle Intentions
Candle offerings are being accepted for our
Adoration Chapel’s Altar and Sanctuary
Lamp. The candles will be on the Altar for
the week. The suggested donation for the
week’s 5 candles is $25. Offerings can be
dropped in the Adoration Chapel Safe (with
the forms found in Sign-In Room) or at the
Rectory Office.
Finance Council Meeting
The Finance Council will meet on Monday, February 2nd at 7 PM in the Social
Hall Meeting Room.
PRO-LIFE CORNER . . .
Responding to statements made by
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi
--who would not say at her press
briefing last week if a 20-week-old
unborn child is a "human being"-Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone of
San Francisco said that it is a
“scientific fact that human life begins
at conception” and that “no Catholic
can dissent in good conscience” from
Church teaching on the sanctity of
life.”

We Need You!!!
Whatever gifts and talents you have are gifts from
God. Jesus needs us to use these to share the Good
News and build up His Kingdom. If you see a need or
a new ministry that is needed at St. Agnes, please
contact Fr. Jeff. Among the things we are looking to
do is utilize technology in Evangelizing and keeping
parishioners informed about the faith and what is happening at St. Agnes.
Have You Remembered St. Agnes?
Remember St. Agnes in your prayers first and foremost (parishioners, staff, deacons and pastor). May
we continue to be nurtured in our faith so we can be
leaven for the world. Remember St. Agnes in your
support of time, talent and treasure. Volunteer time
for your parish using your gifts so we can continue the
mission of the Church. Remember St. Agnes weekly
and in your will so we can continue the mission of
Christ and His Church. Contact Fr. Jeff Stecz or
