Reservations can be
made beginning March 1.
This is a very unique opportunity for all of
Galilee to experience a real, interactive worship
service, rich in Jewish heritage helping us all
better understand the sacrifice of our Savior.
Then Moses said to the people, “Remember this day in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house
of slavery, for by a strong hand the Lord brought you out from this place. - Exodus 13:3a
All too easily we can get sucked into a life of
complacency. We live our lives mostly unaware of
the struggles of others.
It’s easy to look around our community and miss the
roughly 9,000 people living below the food security
level. Of that, approximately 4,400 of them are
children.
We’re teaming up with iServe Ministries right here in our area to serve those
less fortunate. iServe’s mobile food banks can provide help
for more than 500 families with 10 to 12 days worth of food.
Join us at Pendergrass Flea Market, Tuesday, March 17
from 6:45AM—9:30 AM. Galilee will be taking teams of
families of all ages, including kids, to serve more than 300
families tons of food through iServe Ministries’ mobile food
bank. Help us be a church that serves our God through
serving our community. Sign up on your connect card this
Sunday to help.

Galilee Men's Softball is about to start for our 2015 Spring Season! All
games are played at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Tuesday and
Thursday nights. Cost is $30, $45 if you need a jersey. Our first practice
is February 22 or March 1, depending on the weather. Hey slugger!
We need you!!!
With God’s help, Christian City has been serving children and seniors since 1965 when they first
opened with just a cottage to eight boys needing safety and healing; a ministry that – over the past half a
century – has now touched the lives of thousands. Galilee has been a great
financial supporter for Christian City from the very beginning!
Come join a 50th birthday celebration, February 26 at 6:30 PM at the beautiful
Delta Flight Museum near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Tickets are
available online at ChristianCity.org for $50 each. We are taking a van with several
choir members who are joining in the 250 voice choir. Catch a ride with us.

Andy@galilee.org (Minimum of 5 required for classes to take place).
A Funny Thing Happened At Church!
Our Men's Fellowship gathering for February is next week, 6 PM, Thursday,
February 19 in Galilee’s Fellowship Hall (west campus). Guys, this one is just
for fun!
Church is to be a fun place, but sometimes church is also a place to get
serious. Why is it that some of the funniest things happen when everyone is
trying to be serious at church? Do you have a good story to tell when things
suddenly got funny? Tom Plank, Nick Vipperman and Don Brandon are going to
share some funny experiences from a collective 100 years of church
ministry. Do you have a funny church story? As time permits, we will go around the room and share them.
Here are the guidelines:
1. The experience actually has to have happened. No made up stories.
2. Only one story per man. So make it your best one.
3. Keep the story short so we can get to everyone.
What about the food? We’re having Fresh Homemade Burgers! Billy is cooking up the best hamburgers and
fixin’s you will find anywhere in the south. Please let us know you are coming. Email: signup@galilee.org, or
complete Sundays ConnectCard, or just give our offices a call at 706-367-8072. Bring a friend and bring your
funny bone and let’s have a Men's Fellowship good time.
Spring is just around the corner! Come
enjoy flowers and a general open garden
with Patsy Tillman at her home. This
invitation is open to any who wish to
indulge their green thumb. Call Ms. Patsy
at 706-6544-2682 for further details.
TAKE OVER LUNCH
This Sunday!
We are traveling to
Taco Bell/KFC,
meet in our gym after
worship and we will run our
vans if you need a ride.

The Expectation of God Moments!
Jackson Trail Christian School, under guidance from Melinda Fulcher performed a
puppet show called Faith for Real. These puppet performers were 5th – 7th grades
students and their show was awesome!! Galilee students laughed, sang and enjoyed a
great time. After the show, Galilee students went back to their classrooms to exchange
Valentine’s and have refreshments. What a wonderful day of love!!

Jackson County Division of Family and
Children Services thanks you for your
kindness and generosity this past
Christmas supporting our community’s
youth in foster care. Without your help, it
would not have been possible to provide
these children with gifts for opening on
Christmas morning.
On behalf of our youth and foster parents,
thanks to each one of you so very much.
Jackson County DFCS Staff
Galilee Family,
