Our Home Missions Inspiration...
Annie Armstrong
The name Annie Armstrong is synonymous with
missions. Our annual offering which financially fuels
our work in North America carries her name to honor
her zeal for sharing Christ. Annie lived from 1850 to 1938. She was
known as a faithful servant of God who passionately promoted missions
with her heart and hands.
Annie was a legendary letter writer. In a single year she penned
18,000 letters soliciting mission support! Her work led to the formation
of the Women’s Missionary Union, and she served as the first
corresponding secretary.
Annie’s legacy is thriving among Southern Baptists and is reflected
in motto: “Whatever It Takes.” Our SBC giving goal is $60,000,000.
Our First Baptist Montgomery goal is $110,000.
During the Easter Season, we intently focus on the sacrifice of
Jesus. Consequently, it would be appropriate to translate our gratitude
for His sacrifice into a tangible offering that will help share the cure
of Christ with our fellow North Americans. Your Annie Armstrong
Offering will help our 5000 NAMB Missionaries who will plant new
churches, send evangelism teams to unreached areas, support pioneer
mission work, perform disaster relief, facilitate benevolence ministries,
and creatively propel the cause of Christ in the USA and Canada.
This year the Wolf family plans to give our largest gift ever to the
North American Missions Annie Armstrong Easter Offering because
time is running short and America desperately needs the hope of
Jesus Christ. To save America, Americans need to be saved! Thanks in
advance for your financial faithfulness in supporting the Lord’s and
Annie’s passion for missions.
