Spring 2013 EDITION
The Door Mouse Times
Progressive Quilt / Block of the Month updates ….
Well, “Stash Buster” finishes in
March and we have a new progressive quilt ready for April. It’s a
Miss Rosie’s pattern by Carrie Nelson called “Cracked Pots”. It starts
with
courthouse steps blocks in
the center. Pieced borders including lots of houses make the quilt
grow to a full 80” x 80”. It runs for
9 months at a cost of $29.50 per month. It’s all precut from Mary
Ann’s “stash to end all stashes” so you can expect lots of different
fabrics! You can come to sit and sew or pick up your packet any
time during the month and sew at home.
“Color Me Happy” block of the month runs through January
2014 and there are still a few spots available - one block each
month for $7.50.
Northwest Ohio Modern Quilt Guild will
meet at the Door Mouse on Thursday, May 16th from 6 p.m.
to 8 p.m. Come meet these inspiring quilters and see their
show and tell. Visit http://www.nwohiomqg.com/ or find it
on Facebook for a glimpse into what these members make.
NEW PATTERNS!!
We have several new
patterns from AD Designs.
There’s a great snowflake,
Tree of Life, and Cancer Hope Quilt. She’s also added
a generic “high school” quilt using every letter of the
alphabet. Use your school colors and the first letter
of your high school name.
Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts has
several new patterns and a new
book using her Hex N More
ruler. Don’t miss our sampler
class from her “Toes in the
Sand” book. We called our sample “Feet
in the Forest” because its all earth
tones instead of blues.
Turning Twenty by Tricia Cribbs has
been revised - The Original Turning
Twenty Just Got Better. She’s added
Twisting Turning Twenty and Turning
Twenty 4x4. There’s also a Tiny Turning
Twenty that’s a swell baby quilt.
Get the “Skinny” on these
patterns and kits.
We currently have kits for the cupcake,
carrot, penguin, snowman, shamrock, & xo.
fat 1/8ths for the “big T” and 10” x
