Brick orders ($40 each) also need to be placed by June 1. I Vacation Bible School Registration t’s time! It’s time! It’s finally time to register your child for Vacation Bible School! Participation of current 1st through current 6th graders is open to the public. Due to lack of space and resources, participation of children ages 3 years through current Kindergartners is limited to Ardmore Baptist families only. Page 2 May 26, 2015 Veterans Stress-Relief Workshop T his workshop offers training in practical tools to use daily to decrease the stress, anxiety, and sleep problems that many veterans experience. Children’s Missions Leaders ach year our children are blessed with missions leaders who not only help them learn about missionaries, but help them learn to be missionaries right here in Winston-Salem. E T Name Change Grace Notes he Community Impact and Global Connections leadership team has decided to simplify and hopefully clarify the name of their ministry area. The new name for this area will be Missional Engagement. This name expresses our goal of engaging the people of Ardmore Baptist Church in connecting others with Jesus Christ through word and deed. The resource minister’s title for this area will be Minister of Missional Engagement. Summer Instrumental Opportunities e are offering two exciting summer opportunities for anyone who plays, or wants to play, an instrument: ♦♦ Sandy Simmons will lead an Instrumental Ensemble on Sunday evenings, 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the choir room, beginning June 7 and going through August. This group is for adults and high-school students who have played in band for at least four years. We are hoping it will evolve into a church orchestra in the fall. All you need to do is show up at the first rehearsal in the choir room with your instrument. ♦♦ Secondly, Sandy will also teach lessons at the church on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Lessons are for all orchestral instruments and for anyone age 12 and older. This is for beginners as well as those who already play an instru ment. Materials and music are furnished and the cost is $10 per lesson. The only thing you need is your instrument.
