The Briarwood College Ministry desires to make the most of this season by seeking to accomplish two main goals. The first is to create an environment for BYG graduating seniors to continue to grow and be equipped spiritually as they transition into their first year of college. The second is to provide an environment for students of spiritual growth and training as they come home in the summer. Last year one rising freshman wrote, “I have so appreciated all of the college events [this summer]. I've been so used to doing stuff with BYG in the summer so it's been great to have somewhere to continue to be fed the Word and have such great community.” This summer our interns Katie Chadwick and Blake Harris and I will seek to achieve these objectives by continuing to invest relationally into the lives of the students. We will also create many opportunities for spiritual growth and training throughout the summer months in the form of weekly events, small groups, and special events. These will include: College Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday night meetings in The Barn June 2–Aug. 4, a July 17 Barons game, and a June Service Day to be announced. Please contact me at 776-5302 or mbunn@briarwood.org if you would like more information. If you have a college student in your life, encourage them to get involved this summer and take advantage of this time to grow in Christ and become equipped to impact others for His Kingdom.
