Sacrament of Reconciliation and
Healing on Thursday,
March 26 – 7:00 pm.
An opportunity to remember:
The Sacrament of Penance: Who are you for
real?
The Gospels are
filled with
stories of people
who met Jesus
and were healed
from the
distortion of
body, mind and
spirit.
Canton, OH
Zacchaeus was a little man, not only in stature but
in self esteem. His encounter with Jesus enabled
him to grow into a just and generous person – he
grows into something bigger than himself. The
unnamed woman caught in adultery, was a mere
object for many – her encounter with Jesus allowed
her to see God’s love – transcending the imitations
and substitutes for true affection and love – named
as God’s Beloved.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is the event in
which we come to meet Christ, within the
community of the Church. The Church, the Body of
Christ is the mirror in which we see our true
reflection – our truest self and image of whom we
are called to be – our best selves. We can name
our sins, those distortions of our lives, and seek the
healing and wholeness that God offers. Lent is a
Season of Grace that provides the opportunity to
turn from the false pretensions, distortions and
illusions of our society and become Servants of
Christ.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is then more than
a pious or religious practice; it is a time of change a time of transformation – in which we encounter
God’s unconditional love and meet the Risen Christ.
As you walk out of the confessional, my prayer is
that you will be empowered by the Spirit to take
your place within the Community – the Risen Body
of Christ. The offer is presented to us – but it is up
to us to accept it. LGaetano
Come join us and
meet someone new!
We have a donut for
you and some coffee
too!
Please come after the
9a.m. Mass today
March 22, 2015.

From Water into Wine
A Young Adult Ministry
By Miguel Chavez
Are you looking for an opportunity to meet other young
adults and enrich your faith? Do you enjoy good fellowship,
meaningful discussion, and fine food and drink?
Consider joining us for the From Water into Wine
gatherings!
What is it?
From Water into Wine is a young adult faith sharing group
that uses the process of wine making and tasting to
analogously discern God’s call in life. Each week of the
program the group will gather in prayer to discuss relevant
themes, meticulously taste and describe wine with food
pairings, refine an appreciation for wine, and support each
other in fellowship.
In the second chapter of John’s gospel we learn of Jesus
transforming water into wine at the wedding feast at Cana.
He took what was ordinary and made it extraordinary. In a
similar way, young adults are challenged by God’s
transformative grace to become like fine wine to serve in the
world and imitate Christ in an extraordinary way.
Gatherings will last 1hour – 1 ½ hours
If you like wine, want to learn more about various wines and
share in wonderful fellowship consider joining us!
Water into Wine meetings will be in the Gathering Room on
Tuesday Nights
at 7:00 pm.
