For Your Prayers










As part of Churches Together in Hexham we pray for the
Hexham Corps of the Salvation Army and their Envoy,
Eunice Blakey.
Within Hexham Deanery we pray for our own parish, for
our priests Dagmar, Michelle and Alan, and our team of
‘retired’ clergy.
Within our Diocese we pray for our Clergy and Readers
and all who share in God’s mission.
Within our Parish we pray for the Mother’s Union and the
way in which they enrich our lives, especially their help with
Tots Praise and Baptism Preparation.
We pray for those preparing for confirmation in May, for
Jess Baker, Holly Gold, Calum McGowan, Claire Moon and
Philip Arnold.
We pray for James Metcalfe & Jennifer Handyside, who will
be married at the Abbey on Saturday.
We pray for Lynn and Simon Caudwell and their work in
Kenya.
We pray for our world, especially for the people of Syria
and Yemen, and for the work of the West
Northumberland Food Bank.
For those who are unwell or who have asked for our
prayers including, Karen Wells, Elizabeth Clarke, Ken Norton,
Malcolm Hare, Edna O’Neil, Stan Batey, Joyce Christie, Alice
Yates, Br Damian SSF, Dorothy Grieveson, Pam Bolt and Norrie
Leah.
For those who have died, especially Raymund Darby, and
all those who mourn.
HEXHAM ABBEY

Fourth Sunday of Easter
Welcome to the Abbey today as we gather for worship and
fellowship. During communion all are invited to come forward
for bread and wine or a blessing – if for a blessing simply keep
your head bowed. We do hope you can stay for refreshments
and the Annual Parochial Church Meeting followed by ‘Bring
and Share’ lunch in the North Transept. Children’s activities will
be available in the Song School during the APCM, and all are
very welcome.
 Junior Church please join the opening procession and you will be
guided to your group in the Priory Buildings.
 Sunday Tots (0-5) make your way to the Priory Buildings through the
Cloister Porch door during the first hymn.

Rogation Walk - Following on from the 10am service on 10th
May, all are invited to join all or part of the traditional Rogation
Sunday walk, via Duke’s Wood, Dipton Mill, Race Course and
Tyne Green. More details to follow.
Christian Aid Week is from 10th to 16th May (2 weeks away).
You will note the display in the North Transept. Collectors are
needed urgently, as some of last year’s have moved, are on
holiday, or no longer fit enough to do it. Please put your name
