To encourage the development of Saxmundham as a viable market
town.
To help steer Saxmundham and the surrounding villages towards
innovative eco-plans for the future.
To support local services whilst controlling the budget at the Council.
To be engaged and committed to support our town and rural

We will to the best of our ability represent the views and opinions of
local residents on matters of concern in the community.

As in all of Suffolk Coastal Region recycling
is greatly supported in Kelsale where the
bottle banks are kept in good condition to
accept the diverse mix.
We look to support this campaign further.
Getting to know the villages is key
to our role. Benhall and Sternfield
have projects that we are
learning about and which we
hope to support.
Phillip has been involved with the 3
Communities Link Project which could be
the catalyst to see a change in the
Saxmundham high street lay out as it
creates a link between Kelsale and
Benhall.
About Phillip
About Julia
I have been the local Suffolk Coastal District Councillor for 12 years,
the last 4 years as the Snape Ward representative, which included the
villages of Benhall & Sternfield. I am currently Chairman of the
Scrutiny Committee.
Peter & I live in Kelsale with our two boys, one of whom is at university
and the other at a state school. Their needs, plus those of our elderly
parents, see me experience exactly what’s going on and the
challenges life brings.
I have developed and run for over 20 years a successful high street
design studio. This now supports a programme of growth, employs
many local trades with great work experience opportunities, and through its Foundation - will now deliver a much needed creative
outreach programme looking at local education, enterprise and
enrichment.
I engage in local schools as a mentor, offer constructive input into
local affairs and most recently trained as a first responder to help
support our local ambulance service.
I am 55, and have lived in the area all my life. Last year after a lifetime
of rural living, I moved into Saxmundham. I have worked in agriculture
since leaving school and some years ago moved in to amenity turf
care, as a self-employed contractor.
For many years, I was Chairman of Blaxhall Parish Council and have
been very active in all aspects of community life at both parish and
district level. I welcome the Enabling Communities Fund as a positive
way of supporting local projects.
