The show runs through December 5. Artist’s Statement: “My work spans forty years of observing and creating art, from my waterfront Boston hometown to boatyard studio on Bellingham Bay. My meandering observations have taken me around the globe. I infuse my work with the colors of Brazil, the crispness of Iceland, the romance of France and classics of Italy, Greece and the Orient. I've been called a modern primitive and a sidewalk botanist, as I seek to express the extraordinary in the ordinary. In my work, I strive to capture the eye and touch the soul. Wherever my art has been exhibited, from San Francisco to Reykjavík, whether wood or tone sculptures, oils or assemblages, the common thread is my head, heart and hands are consistently present. My work lives in private collections around the world.” The SVC Art Gallery is dedicated to the exhibition of contemporary work by regionally, national, and internationally acclaimed artists. The Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the college's academic year.
