Letter from the Director
Friday, May 31st: Last
Hello AIS!
day for clubs

June 8th: Graduation

June 12th: Last day of
school (half day)
This week I have a couple
of short reminders.
First, please join us for
Parent Teacher conferences tomorrow, May 31st
in the afternoon. Call Eldar
in the office for an appointment with your
child’s teacher or if you
would like to meet with
me or Debbie. Remember
to morrow is a half-day for
students; they will be dismissed at 12:06 (buses
will transport bus riders
home at that time).
Our graduation ceremonies will be held on our
field at 10:00 AM on Saturday June 8th. You are
all welcome to attend.
This is a special event to
commemorate the hard
work that the students
have put in to reach this
critical transition point as
well as recognize the support given to them by
their families and teachers
through the years. If you
do plan to attend, please
call the office and let Eldar
know—we want to make
sure everyone has a place
to sit!
Remember also that all
fees must be paid and all
library books returned by
the end of the year. Any
student who has fees or
books due will not receive
their end of the year
status report.
As always, I welcome your
feedback and input. Please
feel free to contact me via
email, or call the office to
set up an appointment for
us to meet in person.
Stay cool and well hydrated!

School Improvement Planning
Our secondary students have
been busy completing graduation
plans which help to inform our
course schedule and offerings.
Due to student interest, we will
offer several new AP (Advanced
Placement) courses next year,
including American Literature,
Biology, and Psychology. In the
elementary, we will continue to
expand our after-school activity
program. If you want to be involved in the school improvement
process, please contact Debbie:
debbie-downes@qsi.org.
Thanks!
