If anyone can help out at the 5:00 pm Mass this
Sunday for minister, that would be great.
Thank you to Virginia Hellicker
For the past 21 years, Virginia Hellicker has faithfully
served our RCIA coordinators in many ways. She has prepared snacks and beverages each week, helped our inquirers grow in the knowledge of the Catholic Faith, and even
sponsored some who choose to enter the Catholic
Church. After her many years of faithful service, Virginia
has decided to retire from this ministry. On behalf of
those who came before me and myself, I want to publicly
thank her for all of her service and wish her well in her
other ministries here at the Cathedral.

PRAYER FOR THE WORK OF THE
SYNOD
WHICH SEEKS TO RESPOND TO
THE
CHALLENGES OF FAMILIES AND
FAITH
Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
in you we contemplate
the splendor of true love,
to you we turn with trust.
Holy Family of Nazareth,
may be places of communion and prayer,
authentic schools of the Gospel
and small domestic Churches.
Holy Family of Nazareth,
may families never again
experience violence, rejection and division:
may all who have been hurt
or scandalized find ready comfort and healing.
Holy Family of Nazareth,
may the approaching Synod of Bishops
make us once more mindful
of the sacredness and inviolability of the family,
and its beauty in God’s plan.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph
graciously hear our prayer.
Amen.
