Enjoy your time with family and friends. While this time of year is seen as a time for happiness, be aware that there are those around us who are lonely and hurting. If you have the opportunity, be especially attentive to those who are alone. This morning our series on Thanksgiving continues as “I’m Thankful for Jesus.” A number of years ago our youngest son, Dustin, wrote a sermon and handed it to me one evening. The sermon was called “Give Thanks Every Day.” At the age of 10 he wanted me to share with the congregation that Thanksgiving needed to happen in the Spring as well as the Fall. I think he had it figured out! Remember that our midweek service has been moved to Tuesday this week. Our Elders want to allow for your family time and travel. Please join us Tuesday and then count your blessings between then and the time we meet together next Sunday. Garvis • OSG (On Solid Ground) December 27-‐30 at Maywood Christian Camp.
