Thanks to all those who gave a donation for this important cause. Meanwhile, Fr. Lio Rotor, who has been the chaplain of the hospital for the last five years will be leaving the hospital to take up other duties effective 29th December. Auckland Diocese has advertised the job of a catholic chaplain (see the advert on p.3) PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL (PPC) FORUM NEWS AND EVENTS FROM AROUND THE DIOCESE The PPC meeting of 14th December went well and the following are the highlights of the deliberations: • Phillip Hadley’s Report on the utilisation of the WW church liturgical space has been returned to councillors to re-read in readiness for finalisation at Feb meeting; • 23 children are enrolled in the revised 2015 Sacramental programme; • Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Parade float to become annual events; Thanks to Moira and Bob Dye for constructing and managing our first float; • Ana Williamson gave a verbal summary report on Regional Parish Council meeting she had attended; • Judith Williams and Richard Hern to spear-head a new Parish Justice and Peace committee • There will be no Christmas Magazine this year; • Councillors are looking into options to purchase a carved body of Christ for the sanctuary cross in WW church. • Sincere thanks extended to Michael Bernard for making and donating four wooden bowls for our Offertory collection; Again, many thanks to everyone who helped to make our first Parish Thanksgiving Day successful.
