ANNOUNCEMENTS
Sacramental Programme: A total of 23 candidates have been enrolled; the catechism
classes will be conducted from WW and Puhoi and will begin on 15th and 16th February
respectively. After the instructors have met with Fr. John to draw the time table for the
entire programme, details will be communicated.
Parish Office Closure: The parish office will be closed for Christmas holidays from 23rd
December till 6th January. The secretary will be available in the office from 12th January.

Fourth Sunday of Advent (Year B) - December 21st 2014
Appreciation for the Gold Coin collection for North Shore Hospital: A total of 275 dollars was collected as contribution towards the construction of a hospital chapel. Thanks to
all those who gave a donation for this important cause. Meanwhile, Fr. Lio Rotor, who has
been the chaplain of the hospital for the last five years will be leaving the hospital to take
up other duties effective 29th December. Auckland Diocese has advertised the job of a
catholic chaplain (see the advert on p.3)
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL (PPC) FORUM
NEWS AND EVENTS FROM AROUND THE DIOCESE
The PPC meeting of 14th December went well and the following are the highlights of the
deliberations:
• Phillip Hadley’s Report on the utilisation of the WW church liturgical space has been returned to councillors to re-read in readiness for finalisation at Feb meeting;
• 23 children are enrolled in the revised 2015 Sacramental programme;
• Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Parade float to become annual events; Thanks to Moira
and Bob Dye for constructing and managing our first float;
• Ana Williamson gave a verbal summary report on Regional Parish Council meeting she had
attended;
• Judith Williams and Richard Hern to spear-head a new Parish Justice and Peace committee
• There will be no Christmas Magazine this year;
• Councillors are looking into options to purchase a carved body of Christ for the sanctuary
cross in WW church.
• Sincere thanks extended to Michael Bernard for making and donating four wooden bowls
for our Offertory collection;
Again, many thanks to everyone who helped to make our first Parish Thanksgiving Day successful. From all PPC Councillors, may you all have a Blessed Christmas, happy holidays and a
prosperous new year.
North Shore Hospital Catholic Chaplain
The Catholic Diocese of Auckland wishes to employ a person for 40 hours per week as chaplain at North
