ST. ANDREW’S CHANCEL: The PCC has passed a
proposal to extend the raised area of the chancel forward
a bit, up to the front pews. This will make it much easier
to accommodate drama and other performances, the
New Life Band, visiting choirs and the Young Seekers.
Tony Kimber has very cleverly Photo-shopped what the
extended area will look like – pictures can be seen on the
second page of this Link on St. Andrew’s website
(www.standrewswraysbury.co.uk – Weekly Newsletter).

CANAAN MINISTRIES GHANA MINISTRY TRIP – 12 th
26 MARCH 2015: Andy Gilmour and others will be
returning to Ghana for the annual convocation of the
Shiloh Bible Training College for Pastors in Kumasi at the
invitation of Archbishop Samuel Addae. The theme will
be ‘Thy Kingdom Come’. Each morning they will be
speaking to about 200 students and pastors and in the
evenings to a wider congregation, with the week
culminating with the main graduation and ordination
service. After the convocation Andy will be staying on to
visit other churches and orphanages which they have
visited on previous trips. They would value our prayers
for safe journeys, good health and much blessing for
those to whom they minister. To support them financially
as well, gifts can be made to ‘Canaan Ministries’ CAF
Bank, Sort Code 40-52-40, Account 00020951.
HELPING THE HOMELESS: At the end of January ten
large bags of clothes were taken to Slough Homeless
Our Concern (SHOC), who are always looking for clothes
in good condition for adult men and women who find
themselves homeless in the Slough area. As the colder
weather is now with us, they urgently need warm
clothing, including coats, hats, gloves and scarves, as
well as sleeping bags. Items may be brought to
Wraysbury Baptist Church and we will pass them on to
SHOC.
SLOUGH FOODBANK: Donations of imperishable food
items for Slough Foodbank, which aims to support local
people with emergency food packages, can be placed in
the boxes in all three churches throughout the year. At
the moment they would particularly welcome long-life fruit
juice, instant mashed potato, sponge puddings, long-life
milk, soap and shampoo.
