Feel The Energy - Canadian Oilmens

April 18, 2015
Issue 1
65th Oilmen's
Oilmen's Business Forum
Wednesday, August 19, 2015
Welcome
As proud Chairs of the
65th Oilmen's, we invite
you
to
join
us
in
celebrating the Oilmen's
Sapphire Anniversary.
Each year the Chairman and his
Partner select a theme for the event
that has special meaning or purpose
for them. To us our theme, "Feel the
Energy" is a perfect double entendre
for how we live our lives … in the
Energy Industry and the Energy
Source Within Us … it's how we
choose to ignite the soul … with our
friends, family and colleagues. Energy
is all around us. It is what creates
endless possibilities … our ability to
achieve beyond our boundaries and
honour the Energy within.
2014 OBF Speakers
A one-of-a-kind opportunity for oil and gas executives

Can you feel it?
"Feel the Energy!"


Mid-Year Update session on
April 17, 2015 featured Alberta
Premier Jim Prentice, Ambassador
Gary Doer and former Quebec
Premier Jean Charest along with
Industry leaders to tie together last
year's Oilmen's Business Forum to
what will be coming at the August
2015 Oilmen's Business Forum in
Banff. Each year the OBF has outperformed the previous year, and
we expect the same to be true in
2015.

Key themes for 2015: Canada's
position globally, competitiveness
and public confidence.

There is a crisis of public
confidence / commodity prices that
is resulting in our industry not
being competitive in international /
investment markets.

Wednesday, August 19 – Full-day
business forum.

Thursday and Friday, August 20, 21
– round table discussions.
The Oilmen's Business Forum (now

in its fifth year) continues to gain
momentum, highlighting the key
challenges facing Canada's oil and
gas industry – and work does not
stop once the Forum is done. There
is a year-round commitment to
tackling the key issues and making
real change to improve our position 
as an industry.
Former Prime Minister Paul Martin,
Canadian Ambassador to the U.S.
Gary Doer, former Quebec Premier
Jean Charest and a number of
leading industry CEOs will provide
their perspective on these
important topics.
It is the responsibility of all of us to
get involved in these discussions.

Celebrating 65 Years
The Canadian Oilmen's Executive Association
Since 1951, the Canadian Oilmen's Executive Association has brought together
Industry executives through a first-class golf tournament. The format includes
spouses at the three-day conference in Banff, resulting in stronger relationships
than other Industry events/associations as networks are built on a different
level.
Divinity
Gold
Through invitation-only executive conferences, business forums and networking
events, the organization has drawn together the most influential leaders across
the energy spectrum to share expertise and drive Industry solutions in our fast paced environment.
The 65th Oilmen's will have a 'business track' and a 'golf track' for participants. There will be a round
table session Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. This means you will have either have some free
time on the Thursday and Friday if not golfing, or you will choose to attend the round table on each
day. If you choose to do the round tables, you will be golfing Friday afternoon for the betting hole.
Thursday, August 20 afternoon = "Aboriginal and Strategic Industry Partnerships"
Friday, August 21 morning = "Advocacy Campaigns - How To Make a More Positive Impact
For Our Industry"

Energy Food
At the Executive Ball, it was
the Hyatt Regency Calgary

to help us Feel The Energy –
and energize us they did!
We now turn our attention to
Banff
in
August.
The
Fairmont Banff Springs and
their fabulous Executive Chef
will have their turn at helping us Feel The Energy. We
will be given the opportunity to discover new dishes
each day, as the Fairmont Banff Springs team create
theme-inspired treats for us. At the 65th Oilmen's
Executive Conference there will be two buffet style
dinners as well as two plated dinners, including the
fabulous Michelin-grade five-star Evening of Champions
dinner on Saturday night. We are also planning unique
food and beverage events at the Clubhouse each

Silver
Lining
Whether the classic high energy Latin band complete
with horn section stokes the Tango or Zumba fire in
you, or one of Canada's top cover bands gets you
rocking and feeling the heat on costume night, plan to
keep the pace. Or for something more unique, plan to
enjoy an up close and personal session with some of
Canada's best songwriters who share great stories
and music, including international hits. The energy
won't stop during the Evening of Champions where we
will celebrate the 65 years of the Oilmen's with both
big band music and modern hits. Also be prepared for
a few fun surprises and nice touches through the
week as we all get ready to Feel The Energy in Banff.
See you there!
