Family Resource Center
“Working together to strengthen
the ties between school and
families.”
Danbury Public School Readiness
Three full-time, full-year programs are
offered for three- and four-year olds
operating from 7a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday
through Friday. Appropriate learning
experiences are offered that are sensitive
to the stages of development of each
child and are based upon each child’s
needs and interests All programs are
state-licensed and NAEYC-accredited.
Program at Sacred Heart, 12 Cottage St.
Enrollment Procedures:
Completion of application form, birth
certificate, proof of Danbury residence,
and health/immunization records
required.
Tuition:
A sliding fee scale, based on family size
and income.

4th Grade Creative Corner- Monthly
opportunities to participate in
enrichment activities and engage in
team building projects.
Lunch Bunch- Weekly lunch
conversations for 4th and 5th grade
students.
5th Grade Upper El Club-After school
program focusing on social skills, positive
relationships and implementation of
community projects.
Carina’s MSP Café
Once a month Café with a Community
Speaker to come and focus on Topic of
Interest.
Extended Learning Program
The Extended Learning Program provides
before school and after school enrichment
at all elementary schools. The program
operates from 7 am to the start of school
and is open until 6 pm each evening. The
program is open according to the Danbury
Public Schools Calendar.

Parent Education
Parents as Teachers (PAT)- A home
visitation program for new and expectant
parents. The goal is to help parents give
their children the best possible start in life.
Children birth to five are eligible.

Girlz Rule- Anti-bullying Program for girls
in collaboration with Girl Scouts.
