donated $500 to Ebola Relief in Africa
A disproportionate number of victims of Ebola
are women because traditionally women
are caretakers and health care workers.
The Women of St. Paul’s UMW have been inspired
by the dangerous work of their African sisters
providing food for those in isolation,
caring for the increasing numbers of Ebola orphans
and maintaining health and education facilities.
More information about this work can be found

Have you just experienced a loss in your family, or have had surgery,
or a serious illness and you're just too tired to prepare a meal for your
family? Well, Hands and Feet Ministry is here to serve you!
Our team uses a website (www.takethemameal.com) that gives you
all the instructions and even allows you to choose what day you
would like to prepare the meals, etc. With many hands who are
willing to prepare meals, we can bless others in their time of need!

Communion Sunday, November 2
Next Sunday is Communion Sunday and the Communion offering
will be for the St. Paul's Thanksgiving Dinner.
Every year, St. Paul's, opens its doors to approximately 150 people
in our Community as well as our Church family so they can enjoy a
wonderful dinner on Thanksgiving Day!
Thanks to your generosity we can share the love of Jesus with so
many people! Thank you for coming alongside us to make
Thanksgiving a memorable day for all!

As president of St. Paul's United Methodist Women, I wish to
express appreciation to all who made our Fall Rummage Sale a
success. Though the accounting is not final, we are confident that we
raised at least $1900 for missions.
On behalf of the UMW, I wish to thank all who shopped and
donated so many lovely items. We are pleased to offer our rummage
sales as a service locally as we raise funds for UMW missions in the
US and around the world!
Only by so many working together is this event possible--St Paul's
door hosts, those who assisted donors in bringing items downstairs,
the UMW women who spent hours in setting up, working the sale
and assisted in the cleanup along with the men who helped them.

TURKEYS NEEDED
Through October and November, the Pantry will be collecting
small turkeys and turkey breasts
for our Thanksgiving distribution.
Frozen turkeys can be placed in the baskets at the entrances to the
sanctuary on Sunday mornings.

During the months of October and November,
we are asking for donations of personal products such as
SOAP, SHAMPOO, DEODORANT, RAZORS and TOILET PAPER.
Donations can be left in the baskets at either entrance
to the Sanctuary.
Trustee Update
We’d like to thank
everyone who has donated
to the replacement
Sanctuary doors. They
have been ordered and a
deposit has been sent. We
hope to have these
installed in the next
month. We are only $5,000 short of securing the total cost of that
project.
Additionally, the company that is custom building these doors, will
be constructing a replacement storm glass overlay for the Rosette
Stained Glass Window. They will remove the damaged overlay and
clean, repoint and seal the window prior to installing the new
protective glass. The cost for this $3,970. We will also need to rent a
man-lift at a cost of $1,609. If anyone would like to donate to this
project, a memo note of “Rosette” will insure that it is put toward that
fund. Additionally, if anyone has another source for a man-lift, please
email us at ogtrustee@gmail.com.
We have explored other projects involving upgrades to the Church
and Fellowship Hall. We have had to postpone most of these and
divert our focus to issues of water leaks. We are working with
professionals to find the source of these and to stop them from
reoccurring. In an effort to prevent any major problems stemming
from the existence of these leaks, we will also be re-grading the
landscaping, looking at the brick for areas that need re-pointing,
diverting downspouts and repairing/sealing roof areas. We welcome
any volunteers who have any expertise in these areas to join our
