Welcome to our service! If you are a guest with us this morning, we trust you will
enjoy your time of worship. Please do sign the Visitor’s Book in the entrance
vestibule. A crèche is available for babies and toddlers in the Session Room (through
the door next to the organ).
The words for the songs can be found in either Mission Praise (MP), in the Church
Hymnary (CH), or will be printed in this Order of Service. Note that Mission Praise
numbers 799 and over are only available in the newer edition. We use the New
International Version of the Bible and copies can be found in the backs of the seats
for your use. Our service this morning is led by Rev Sharon Colvin.

Church Notices
1. Annual Report & Accounts: a copy of this year’s Annual Statement
is available for collection in the vestibule. Will pastoral area visitors
please collect theirs for delivery also. The Annual Stated Meeting will
be held on Sunday, 29 March.
2. Tea Room: the Tea Room will be open on Tuesday, 10 March from
10 a.m -12noon. Teas, coffee, home baking, books and bric-a-brac. All
welcome!
3. Sanctus Praise: the next of these joint services will be held this evening
at High Blantyre Baptist Church at 6.30 p.m. for refreshments and 7.00
p.m. for worship. The theme for this service is ‘David & Goliath’.
4. Blantyre Old Parish Church Guild are holding a Red Nose Tea and
Silent Auction on Thursday, 12 March at 7.15 p.m. in their Church Hall.
Tickets cost £3.00 and are available at the door.
5. Prayer Group: the prayer group will meet on Sunday, 15 March at
10.15 a.m. in the Session Room. All are welcome!
6. Soup Lunch: the Sunday Funday Club are organising a soup lunch
following morning worship on Sunday, 29 March. Cost £3.00. Everyone
welcome!
7. Guide Concert: the Guides are hosting a concert on Monday 30th
March in the Church. Calderglen High Jazz Band are playing, along with
other guest singers and Nicole Dickie. Tickets are now available from
guiders or the tea room at a cost of £5 or £3 concession. Baking for this
event would be gratefully received!
8. Emmaus Group: this group meets for discussion and is suitable for all
levels of knowledge/ belief and new members are always welcomed. The
next session continues their study of ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ and will begin
on Thursday, 7 May at 7.00 p.m. at 30 Ness Drive. Contact Maureen
