Victoria (PCNV) at St. Luke’s. DR. Jenks has been a Senior Lecturer at

monthly public meetings in Melbourne with speakers well qualified in
their particular areas of the Christian faith. This Geelong meeting is
hoped to be the first of such addresses in Victorian regional centres.
The cost is $7 (PCNV members $5). A significant number of people are
expected to come from Melbourne, tea and coffee will be available for
everyone arriving early. (2.30 pm+)

FROM THE ARCHIVES:
Last week a lady arrived at the church seeking information about members
of her family who attended the Methodist church in the late 1800s to
1938.
Fortunately her great uncle is in a group photograph taken on 14
October 1906 of Sunday School teachers and officers. It was the occasion of the
Golden Jubilee of the Sunday School. We were able to supply a copy of the
photo. Her great uncle was a contemporary of Robert Lane (of the Lane
Memorial Hall). He was also a Trustee of the church and we have many
references to him in our church history book, “Steadfast Through Change”. The
family lived in a stone cottage in Mount
Pleasant Road.
We have a demand for copies of “Steadfast Through Change” but it is out of
print. If anyone has a spare copy I would be pleased to hear from you.
