Joy Ostle, who was one of those being commissioned read part of the Old Testament lesson. Tributes and thanks were expressed to the Street pastors by the police, city council and the community. Rev. Olaf Davies in his address emphasised the fact that although they were called "volunteer" Street Pastors, in reality they had been called by God, probably with some prodding. Like some of the biblical heroes, they were a motley bunch, often reluctant to respond to God's call, giving a variety of excuses before answering the call. Unfortunately, the uniforms had not been delivered, but each was given a copy of the latest book “Faith on the Streets”, by the Rev. Les Isaac, OBE, founder of the Street Pastors. It was wonderful to share fellowship with so many denominations over excellent cake. A new group will start training in the New Year, and more Prayer partners are needed. Anne Jackson. They have models of all ages and are using New Look, M & Co and some Bridal wear from Cancer UK. They have raffle prizes including a night at The Castle Hotel Conwy and a meal for two at Pen y Bryn.
